Just noticed on my game it starts to rain and you get thunder when you get your eco balance above 200 on an island :) nice touch. Got my city up to 7.4k, with about 25 houses waiting advanced from Engineers to Executives but holding off for now as I need bring them in slowly due to how touchy executives can be when they have something they want in short supply.

My Tech city up to 1.4k, doubt I'll expand it much more after Academy is up to 500%. It's quite a small city really in comparison to my Eco city, and still got 1.4k of them and my Eco city has living improves on tv to get more of them in. They can really cram those nerds in at the Tech buildings!

Hope they release some decorative products maybe in a DLC (and maybe make Tech a full playable race) as all you really have is putting two lanes of fancy road together.

Anybody found an equivilent of beggars and envoys from 1404 yet? My 1404 city had no tier 1 civ at all due to beggars giving me enough ascension rights to tier 2.

I've read a bit and watched a few game play videos but i still don't quite get it, if it's like simcity how far can you go, it didn't look like there was much stuff like bigger and better buildings, it looks like it does a lot of different things ok but with no particular overall goal, like defeating an enemy or taking over the world?

Good lord, just checked computer temps whilst playing this. GPU is at 76c, CPU at 74 - 77c (2500k). Not really sure why this is, it's 10c hotter on bother accounts than BF3 does at ultra high settings with MSAA.

You can run continuous games and totally customise the game, including map size, adding up to 8 extra players (can all be computer players) and setting their aggressiveness and whether they actually colonize islands or not. The "win" factors can also be loads of things, like total domination or after X hours, or reaching Y tech.

Anyone know any other way to get career points other than the campaign and the daily quest? I really want to unlock the extra 3* slots on my ark, and don't want to play the campaign.

None that I have noticed.

The daily quests are really easy now I have a continual game up and running.

Quick question - is it possible to get traders to use my other ports on an island? They are all queuing up for the same one :(

Really frustrated. Went out today to buy this, none of the retailers around my area had it or any other PC games really. So have paid over the odds and am getting it on Steam, except Steam is as slow as **** and it will be midnight before I can play. Grrrrr

Would someone mind explaining to me what exactly sets this apart from the Tropico and simcity series?

The videos I've watched of the game aren't convincing enough for me to buy it yet, I just don't want to buy another city-management type game that gets boring after one run through.

Perhaps I should watch some more videos for actual gameplay.

Tried the demo at all? might help your decision.

is the deluxe edition worth the extra?

Not imo. But you should definitely get this game. I am loving it.

Still learning too.

Quick question - is it worth building a small tycoon section in my eco city - will it get me access to hydroelectric power?

Just found out how stupidly great Metal Converters are!
