IIRC when I first bought Anno 1404 it worked a treat. Not long after, due to hardware issues and changes, I had used up my three activations and, due to a total lack of response from UBI, it wasn't until the first 1.1 patch that I could play it again. I think it was that patch which removed the DRM.

Haven't played any of the series yet, I was always on the fence due to the seemingly common medieval/pre-industrial settings they used. Seeing it in a purely imaginative futuristic setting for this one will have me intertested.
The DRM doesn't bother me as I never play games anywhere that I don't have access to the internet any way.

Ohhhh, this looks good. I have Anno 1404, didn't play much more than 10 hours or so I don't think, but I did enjoy it.

The rainforest has a release date of November 18th this year, preorder price of £39.99 is abit off though
It does, but it also looks like a damn sight further in the future than 2070.

I'd like to see how they manage this, i saw it working with the old trade and crusading but this sounds challenging to make.
