I have never played this game, and I am currently looking for new types rather than the usual shooter. Can someone give me a brief description on what this game is about. I am currently at work so all websites regarding games are blocked :( can only get information on this forum.

Regards
Martin

It is basically a futuristic city builder, with a little bit of strategic combat. Custom games can be modified to avoid any kind of combat though.

After having a break to play skyrim and TOR, I have really gotten back into this game now. Still need to start the campaign, but have returned to my continuous game again.

Still got loads of things to research and a load of the map to build on.

Waiting for a sale, will then buy all the DLC - looking forward to the next world event. I assume it will be focused on global corp.

For anyone looking for lots of info, those forums are really good - http://forums-de.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/133-ANNO-2070-Trenchcoat-s-Distillery

I'm confused.

All of my Eco executive residences only seem to populate to 26/40 yet I have met all their needs.

Anyone care to help?

Might also be that you've hit the next "tier" into Executives, so you need to start supplying the luxury items like service bots to get more to move in.

Have just started a new continuous game with all of the coal power station upgrades playing as tycoon. This time aiming to have a single island for processing raw materials, then transferring the goods to where they are needed. Means all my pollution can be on one island, and that it also doesn't matter :)

How long do your continuous game last?

Although continuous would suggest the game cannot end, I can't see myself managing once all the precious metals have been exhausted. I'm close to running out of copper (on all islands) for my lifestyle productions (bots etc) and once they're gone I'll start getting unhappy workers.

You can get items to infuse more material into islands. :)

Hit up the bots that you can trade with or make them in your academies.

Indefinite. All resources can be regenerated through research in the academy and from items purchased from the NPCs.

Have just moved onto the second chapter of the campaign.

Have also started a new continuous game with global trust.

Tempted to start a new Eco game too. What I want to do is to have a central island with factories where the Eco balance doesn't matter. I should then be able to transport of all of my raw materials to it. It should free up a lot more cash. Then again, late in the game I am not particularly short of cash!

Is Anno 2070 cheap to buy anywhere? Cant it be added to steam?

£14.95 from Zavvi, you might also grab a 10% off code from someone (they send them to me fairly regularly).

No, it can't be activated on Steam if that's what you mean. The price difference (133% more on Steam, lol) isn't really worth having it in your Steam library though and you can always add it as a non-steam game.
