Annoyed!!

1.4 actually! And not being rude but I can't be bothered with the hassle of looking elsewhere and I really like the car. I don't mind the wait but this is what happens when owners/garages mess things like this up!

I'd demand more than a tank of juice for the trouble.

It's what, £35 to fill up?

So £35 for a 3 week inconvenience. I'd have cancelled it and see what else they throw into the deal to keep you.

I'll see what they say but it's hardly my dealers fault. Basically the old dealer have stuck the plates on the car trying to hide the fact that old one's were never removed. It's a bit harsh blaming them when they are the ones having to pick up the pieces.

Sorry, but it *is* your dealer's fault - he sold you a car for which his file of paperwork was incomplete at the time you agreed a contract to buy.

He is stringing you along by blaming the previous owner and garage.

Not actually true, he has part of the log book that would normally be acceptable to tax the car with however because it's still got her private plates registered to the car obviously it won't let them tax it.

Update:

Garage ended up messing me around for ages so I went out got the exact same car but with air con for £1000 less and 12 months tax + mats included. Picking it up tomorrow :D. Certainly won't recommend or ever use that garage again and I loved telling the so called "salesman" that I had bought a car elsewhere. Just waiting on my deposit clearing from them now.

do people not do any research before buying a car.

I though i was a bit rash only seeing 5 cars and doing 2 weeks searching

Well not being funny mate but I wanted a particular colour and I wanted a particular trim it's not like I went out and looked at the one car! However the reason why I'm saving £800 is because it's a year older (however only done 9k 56 plate). Originally I struggled to find a better deal/colour etc I wanted. I'm very happy now though and looking forward to tomorrow!

You can afford to waste £50, you are obviously not skint or you wouldnt have just bought an 07 Clio.

Buy the car from someone else. They wont charge you £50 to move the insurance to another Clio.

You were right mate! They said they wouldn't charge me again because I'm buying the same spec car. All sorted now though :)

That isn't lit up thankfully! :p Anyway dunno if anyone can help as I've been out all day but I noticed as I was speeding up the strero system volume increased (at 40ish and 70 respectively), does it do this to compensate for the extra cabin noise at high speeds? It also seemed to do it when I was putting more rev's through the the car. Thanks!

Yep. Good idea it is too.

(I think)

hehehe! I will have to see if I can adjust that CD player setting..I find it quite annoying sometimes as if you are around that mark and drop speed slightly it changes volume! haha.
