Annoying windows 7 problem

My PC seems to have some kinda bug which I thought was just down to Chrome, but its affecting windows on a whole.

Basically, in Chrome I will click a link and a new window will open instead of the browser just re-directing me. The issue also occurs in my computer. I will open my computer and try to open a folder/drive and it will select all of them and normally open the properties of a random drive. Pretty annoying as you can imagine!

It seems to affect all other programs, as when I click a program from the task-bar to expand it doesnt do anything. I have to right click it to expand it :mad:

Can anyone help?

Sounds like you might have something on the keyboard or a faulty keyboard. I have seen this sort of thing happen with a faulty alt key or similar.

folder options in start menu , restore defaults. also command prompt as administrator , sfc /scannow ENTER . could be some corrupt system files

I bet you a tenner you have something stuck on one of your ctrl or Shift keys!

Cheers fellas, replaced the KB with a brand new one which is the same model. So just hope this KB doesnt develop the same fault, if it was the KB of course.

Make sure in W7 that the OPEN EACH FOLDER IN THE SAME WINDOW is checked.
