Another big fat wedding thread. (Pic heavy)

uhh... whether the pictures are good/bad is irrelevant. If someone shares their work and posters tell them they don't think they should be posting it, do you think they are going to want to;
a)keep it up
b)post any more

Anyway that's all I got to say about it.

Sigh.

Take the blinkers off and reread, perhaps then you'll understand for the future the point that someone was making, not the point that you've twisted and put into your head. People have said they like the shots, just that they personally (you know, their opinion, which they are entitled to), wouldn't be comfortable with the extensive amount that's posted online.

A simple point to make that now requires a waambulance.

Thanks for sharing these Rhys.
Bloody good work and I'm sure that the clients are very happy.

My one crit would be the 'tilt shift' style shot, I hate them but I know that some love them and can understand why you would use it.

Gotta love it when a few keyboard monkey's sit behind their monitors and criticize someone for sharing their work.

Well done for putting off one the few consistent contributors to this section, seriously good work guys. :rolleyes:.

Gorgeous photos mate!

Was one of the guests who kept leaning in to film the ceremony prove to be annoying at all?

Might need an army of waambulances at this rate.

The joys of expressing a personal opinion and rather than someone logically discussing it, toys are thrown, and then other toys are collectively thrown too.

Nobody told him not to post. Nobody told him to remove the images. Nobody even suggested that. He took that upon himself and read into something that wasn't there.

Two posters merely posted saying how they were A) concerned for copyright (jonney) and B) wouldn't be personally comfortable with that amount of photos being posted online, finding it off putting.

The OP removed the images and threw his toys and decided not to share his work, nobody told him to or said stop posting.

This is the exact reason I never posted about it before, because as per, you can't say anything in this sub section without it being turned to rubbish.

I'm out, as it's quite clear people fail to understand simple English and just want to back slap each other.

Cheers everyone! :)

@MP4
If the camera's metering is linked to the AF points, then there shouldn't be any need to shoot full manual as you spend too much time chimping. I use spot metering 90% of the time.
If the focus points are not linked and you have to use the exposure lock button, and also if you focus recompose, then shooting full manual is a more compelling argument.

Found out i can only link the center point, so :(

Cheers mate, yeh tilt-shift or TS 'effects' seem to be very marmite, so I only apply it occasionally to certain compositions.

Thanks Sam. Yes during the ceremony it was a little annoying, however I didn't notice him much after that.
