Another Bull gets it's own back.

I don't think you can say everyone deserved their injuries. Some of them might have been dragged along by their parents or tourists going to see what all the fuss is about. You could argue that paying to see such an event is part of the problem, but I don't think the crowd 'deserve' to be injured.

Matadors however...
**** 'em. :)

Taking the bull out of the equation (danger, flawed analogy approaching!), its still hard to sympathise, unless we are talking about kids who didn't choose to be there.

It's like people who stand on the corners watching rally cars, who can they possibly blame when they get hit in the face by a ton of airborne Peugeot?

Do they deserve it? Probably not. Do they deserve sympathy, probably not!

That was an impressive jump. Nice one bull. I don't have any sympathy for the crowd.

Too bad the bull was killed afterwards though :(

As for banning bull fighting, do you all really purchase free range and fair trade products? No I highly doubt it, so before we kill off some of the most famous traditions why dont we tend for the chickens that never see the light of day?

Because banning a sport that kills a few animals is much easier for the government than forcing hundreds or thousands of farms across the country/world to spends lots of money completely changing their farming practices.

I'm not saying i agree with this thought process, I don't, but that's what happened with fox hunting and what will inevitably happen with bull fights; rather than take on a big, complex, challenging job, the 'man' will find some big showy media friendly easy way of being 'tough' on animal cruelty.

Happens across the board, and is one of the main reasons nothing getting chuffing accomplished in this country, politicians more worried about looking good than actually changing anything.

Meh. Good on the bull!!!!!!!

So it's a bullfight without the needless cruelty of injuring or killing the animal as part of the event?

Compared to a traditional UK sports event like the grand national/steeple chasing etc how is this more deserving of all the haters remarks because they saw the word 'bullfight'? Even after the beeb spoon-fed the story with a video detailing the lack of physical cruelty inflicted on the animal as part of this event?

Angry bull does what angry bulls do... ever been chased through a field by bullocks or a fully grown animal?
This particular type of bullfighting seems no different to horse racing in terms of the impact on the animal, however if the intent is to not kill the bull at the end, then events like the national must seem cruel by comparison when you consider the number of horses which have to be destroyed because they brake a leg after a fall at one of the jumps.

Can't see what all the fuss is about.

Fair trade has a lot to do with animal cruelty if we consider farm workers as animals.

I didn't say it did, if you read the topic I suggested that not caring about the conditions some humans have to work in and caring about a mere bull in a ring is pretty ridiculous.

I think you'll find some people find your sig offensive.

Well said, Jumpy.

And as for the people saying the bull shouldn't of been put down afterwards... what happen's if a dog bites that many people?

That's ridiculous, of course they deserve sympathy.
