Another cry for help - computer restarting during gaming

Thanks mate - I'll take you up on that offer. Despite the fact I have no idea whatsoever how to remove or plug a PSU in. :(

No worries, building computers is second nature to me I can give you a hand and check over things with you if you like.

Could you send me an email by using the trust system here and we can swap details

+1 for PSU, I had that problem running a teeny tiny PSU when I got my GTX770, after upgrading it was perfect.

I also kept getting crashes in a similar manner because the gpu was bending downwards due to its weight and shorting the connection slightly, its now propped up very scientifically using a pen wedged between it and a hard drive and works flawlessly.

Meeting up with Zvalan tomorrow to try out a new PSU and give everything a check, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this!

I have recently had the same issue when playing games, it got to the stage that it would do it during normal web browsing. It turned out to be a faulty PSU. I'd put my money on your RAM or PSU at fault here.

turned out to be the PSU as suspected. Many thanks to Rainagul for all his help! He even managed to deal with my hungover groans as he sorted the cable management on my PC.
