Another EBay Thread

Having just had a large car spoiler posted from Germany I can tell you it didn't cost an additional 45 eur to post the RAM.

The spoiler worked out to be £18.54.

My thoughts are that he didn't get the price he wanted and is trying it on with the postage

I'd reply with"

Hello, can you supply me with the invoice for the shipping Costs? Upon successful delivery I'd possibly be happy to pay any extra that is reflected on the paperwork"

1. If he's pulling a fast one he can't supply the invoice
2. He's more inclined to actually ship it on the promis of additional funds.
3. Using the word possibly allows you to avoid paying.

Is this a business ie thousands of feedback or some kid selling his stuff to buy something else and is still a bit naive?

If it were a shop/business, then no i wouldn't entertain paying a single penny extra, if it is a kid who has messed up, then MAYBE i would look to help them out - but not before seeing the postage invoice as above.

If you've paid circa £150 for all this you're gong to have to pay import duty plus handling fees, that reason alone is enough to tell him to bog off.

Just an UPDATE.

I knew he was BS'ing going by fact the tracking records show he never handed the parcel over after getting a label for it so after being patient for a decent amount of time I contacted E-Bay CS and they agreed it was on UK site and I had not done any wrong and paid the asking price and even more so since I spoke to him he could have brought up any concerns.

I was asked to ask him for refund and E-Bay said they would tell him to do so in 2 days time after I speak to him.

He said it must have gone missing and he would look into it but refunded me the next day.

Thanks for the input. :)

be sure to leave negative feedback to warn others.

It could very well have been a scam, people send him the extra he doesn’t send. The buyers can’t claim the extra back!

I do not think either of us can do Feedback it as is if the sale never took place, but I have checked for him relisting the item. ;)

It could also very well have been an honest mistake because of eBay incorrectly classifying the UK as part of the EU within their shipping options.

I doubt it, he had the label sent and claimed it has been posted where as carrier claim it was never handed over so could not be lost.

Anyhow case closed.
