Why are people coming up with new suggestions when he's already said the correct answer has been posted :D

Because I fail at reading threads thoroughly :(

With a stag, every completed journey is a cause for celebration as you realise you have kept the wolf of fatal overheating from the door of the triumph v8 for that little while longer...

:D

I forgive them though....'cause for the brief moment that they survive when running at full chat, they sound great.

Yes, that is so true! I can't believe the amount of times mine has overheated and broken down.

chill, winston.

its no more serious than if I mentioned hgf on an imp or rust on a seventies ford. :)

the trump 8 is a lovely little engine and has an exhaust note to die for.

Is there no way to help stop that happening now?

He was being sarcastic mate :)

If you actually make a decent effort at looking after them, they don't give you any bother on the overheating front. But they aren't the toughest engines out there, and if you don't make token efforts at maintaining them then they end up letting you down.

Yeah, I know you weren't being totally serious, it just annoys me the way this "joke" is peddled out every time a stag is mentioned. I'm sick of the amount of forum warriors stating, in the pub, "Oh, you have a Stag? Why did you buy one of those, the engine is crap. You can't go more than 100yards without it overheating and the heads warping, you want to swap it for a rover engine, that's what everybody in the know has done" with a smug grin on their faces, and no amount of "you don't know what you're talking about, mate" seems to put a stop to it *sigh*

Here you go:

PENSKI WINS! Think he might of found out elsewhere but most of you were not far off!
