another project log? oh go on then, make it a parvum

They look awesome! Really looking forward to the next stage.

Thanks buddy, next will be sleeving, the 24pin will be done tonight.

also ive emailed you regarding the sleeving ya want doing ;)

Im excited to see this..

A heinz sponsered parvum build, count me in! :D

Haha, i wonder if i would be able to get something from heinz if i send them a link to here, might be worth a try, i am starting to look for sponsors so i can keep up my build logs!!!

You my Friend are a pc artist you take building to levels that I don't but I am more of a go and no show kind of guy.

Thanks buddy, yeah i would like to always use the fastest and best hardware, but sometimes its not needed, this build isnt going to be used for anything that will make it struggle so i think a i5/i7 will do fine in it, i can give it a small overclock if it struggles i guess! As i say, i am starting to progress a little bit now with my builds, im going to pester some people for sponsorship, so i want something to show them, whether this build will be different enough to make them take note, well, il have to see. if not, ive had fun building it so im happy!!!

Thanks very much for the pin-out guide. I do hate sleeving double-wires though.

Looking good with the white rads in there. Keep the updates coming.

if you have any problems, let me know, id be more than happy to sleeve your power supply for you (if you keep an eye out on here, you will see some of my newer sleeving work, ive progressed a lot in 12 months) I will be doing the 24pin connector tonight so will update this log then!

and thanks, i think a quick bit of spray painting (well, 2 days worth, but quick enough lol ;) ) really does make a build!

Finally got the 24pin braided!!! (well, mostly, its still not finished)

right, i stuck some of the cables into the psu to see what i was dealing with....

oh dear. they are certainly not that long any more!!!

I took all the cables out, and started to cut them down to size, this is the 24 pin connector!

I then got the rest of the tools out...

Done!

Well, not quite. For white sleeving its best to have white wire underneath it so the colour of the cable doesn't leak through, unfortunately i have ran out, so ive had to order some more, when it arrives, i will be re doing all the white!

see how the black is showing through the white sleeve? its not so noticable off camera though. As i knew i was going to be re doing these, i didnt do them properly, so they are not as tight as they should be, but still, they dont look too bad!!

its looking good plugged in!!!

the "curve" will be a lot better when its done properly, as thats just dangling loose at the back of the mobo tray, so there is no tension on it. but it gives you a little idea of what it will look like!

Thanks!

Yeah, i looked into the others for the performance increase, but i just really didnt want to put a black pcb into the case, not when it will be so prominent.

i had a word with the computers owner, and just said "do you want higher performance, or do you want it to fit the build but have last years tech"

he was happy with the drop in performance, im glad though if im honest, it really does suit the build!

*edit* urgh... looking at them pictures, im going to have to do something about those ram stickers!!
