DLSS is literally the only thing keeping people's interest currently as RTX is a bust for this gen at least, something that everyone knew before the cards hit.

I think RTX will be ok for this gen in games that support SLI, we will find out soon enough.

Just realised Shadow of the Tomb Raider is supposed to get DLSS and RT. As the game has been out for a little while now I'm surprised it doesn't at least have DLSS, unless they're intending to release both together.
Hopefully it's a case of "good things take time" :).

This is AMD's opportunity. I have been using nvidia for a decade or so, and currently have a 1080ti, but I hate gsync (proprietary), if AMD can come out with a card that can at least match something like a 1080ti for a reasonable cost and TDP, I would consider switching and investing in freesync also, I also hate how nvidia cards have removed DVI, so AMD should keep that also, and it is still present on the 590.

People should get a PS 4 pro and spiderman, the reflections in that game look far better than anything I have seen from BF 5 with RTX and at least you get a locked 30 fps at 4k (with checker boarding) too lol......

for me pixel count has never been the be all and end all, people have got over obsessed with it.

Tech like SGSSAA in the older DX9 days e.g. has often been more then ample to make a lower res look as nice as a higher res but at lower cost.

I remember when everyone was ******* over the PS4 upscaling, my how times change :p

I couldn't really care for higher res. 4k is overated big time imo.

I just find it amusing that Spiderman's reflections look far better than bf 5 with rtx and performs way better when you take into consideration the res. :D

Thats because the RT was watered down to make the game playable, how often do we see games at E3 look out of this world, futuristic graphics, then the game launches and its massively watered down. This is why am not surprised by BF5 RT.

Yep. Can’t blame them though. It is a business and if majority of people do not care when it happens, it just continues to happen.

I am returning my Gainward RTX 2080Ti as soon as its back from RMA and get a full refund. I have already ordered (and are shipped) 2x Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti Gaming OC to run SLi again with something I know works.

Interesting move, and one I’m sure you’ll be happy with.

Yeah if you want to fork out 2 grand plus for a pair of ti's which virtually nobody will do. Then there's finding games that have good scaling in sli which has been on the wane for a few years now. And that's even assuming rtx features are supported in sli, i don't think i've seen confirmation of this one way or the other.

Lol at your sig. 2080Ti eh? :p

Also, isn’t SLI mostly dead these days? Even when working then you have microstuter. No thanks. I have had multi gpu before, not worth the hassle at all if it is primarily for gaming imo.

Lol you just won first prize for noticing my sig first ! :D

@Kaapstad just got 2 x 2080ti so I’m not sure on the SLI side of things.

That’s NVlink though...

That Auros Extreme card looks like a POS, they're having nightmares with it on the thread. Pre-order price of £1289.99, supposed to be £100 dearer later, still up for pre-order @ £1289.99.

One con after another.
