Another one for you if you like, when i worked in Morrisons we werent allowed to fly the england flag on St Georges day.. Apparently its offencive to muslims because its a red cross? Im sure theres a conection with hot cross buns aswell

I am afraid that unless you can show me proof (and only an article confirming this allegation in the Guardian will suffice) we will just have to assume that you are one of the:

average knuckle dragging mail reader, on reading that Christmas has apparently been renamed 'Winterval', simply shakes his/her head, tuts disgustedly, and repeats the story in the pub later on. No-one bothers to look any deeper because, well, its the sort of thing that always happens, so it *must* be true.
So people like you must be the root cause of:

Eventually you end up with a modern mythology that becomes so ingrained in the popular consciousness that new allegations are treated as supporting earler ones that time has transformed into Holy Writ.

No, not at all.
I'm just pointing out how rude it is for some posters to make such generalisations about people who do not share their views and to accuse everyone who believes that PC liberals are affecting our country of being knuckle draggers.

When you get to know me a little better you'll come to know that I like Visage even less than having my testicles boiled in hot treacle.

oh and for the record im not any of the above, I dont beleive half the rubbish in the paper and thats why i stopped reading it, its just a load of propergander and exagerated stories. But i do find it amazing how powerfull the media is..

Can someone clear this up for me then please, Is a red cross or a cross offensive to muslims, and if so why? Iv even had people knock on my door and ask us to take down out england flag on the front because of the above reason (goes to go get camera recording i made of it)

lol @ the seriousness of this thread and the overreaction of the teacher (from what ive read)

Soo much is classed as 'offensive' and 'racist' its starting to bore me.

Soo much news is events like this, its a bit tedious. :(

Is there anything that is NOT offensive to some of them? ;)
Mind you it was men in armour with big swords and red crosses on their chests that kicked the muslim invaders out of the holy lands after they invaded. So it *could* be related to the crusaders.
Then again I could get offended everytime a muslim says that Jesus is not the son of god but instead a prophet of allah .....

I am not accusing you of being any of those things mate, I was just having a pop at an earlier post.

fair play, i think it does have something to do with the consaders you know, but dont quote me on it ;)
Yeah what right did those damn crusaders have to attack the muslim invaders in Jerusalem and to force them out, it was none of their business was it ;)

Just checked out that link. How can you say she doesn't look like a chav

He was being ironic, funny, witty, sarcastic, amusing, the life and soul etc, etc, etc,
Others might find the humour self gratifying and smug.

Personally I wondered how he found her "site", I had to wonder if he's a friend or perhaps he has a "business" arrangement with her.

I'm 95% sure the girl did NOT have her education at heart when she said what she said, which I'm 100% sure is not a direct quote. I see chavs every day, and she is one, I'll bet a considerable amount on that. :)

It would seem that for some people, typing in 'www.google.com' in the address bar of ones browser, filling in someones name, clicking 'Search' and then clicking on the one single link that is returned, and then realising that the person pictured is the same person in the story, is that height of internet savvyness.....

No wonder the self-same person finds the modern world so utterly terrifying if the notion of a search engine causes such confusion.
