Another spec me a 1440P monitor thread help please guys thanks please

Hi was looking at the hazro myself what are they like in terms of build quality?

Also would a single 7970 handle 1440p I know a few games it wouldn't cope

I use a single 7970 lightening (no DL-DVI grrr) so i use display port on the ASUS screen.

The hazro only has DVI so make sure you have a dual link DVI connection.

As for gaming, it performs great with a single card, sure 2 would be nice for the absolute latest and greated but i've not noticed any real struggles except with arma3 and huge view distances.

I think you'll find it find for at least a good few month until some boundary pushing games come out.

My replacement has bleed too but it's nowhere near as bad and it's white light not yellow and blue. Not an issue to me.

Cheers for the reply mate, 1440p here I come : )

Well monitor turned up and plugged in and no light bleed at all. I have give it a quick test on Bioshock Inf and loading screens are black and edges are black. My gripe is colours. I can't seem to get a setting that I like and they are not jumping out at me like they do with my Asus VG278H monitor.

Anyone got any tips please?

Mine was factory calibrated. It's possible that you're just used to the worse colours on your 120 Hz TN panels and need time to adjust.

You lucky SOB.

My U2713HM has backlight bleed (as mentioned in another thread) and a tiny blue pixel only in games when a black background is present.

Dell sent replacement, but the replacement was refurbed. Looked like the refurb had been used in a Coal Mine as it was scratched, scuffed and in fairly crap keeping, as well as smelling of nicotine. Additionally, it still had backlight bleed.

Long story short, I am keeping my monitor as Dell's 'zero dead pixel' guarantee is frankly worthless as you are getting rid of a brand new monitor, and replacing it with a refurb that has passed their obviously less-than-impressive QA standards.

It does look far worse than it is and the same test done on my AsusVG278H monitor (which is next to this Dell).

As you can see, it isn't that bad and probably so used to it with the Asus, It looked so much better on the Dell. Looks like I could be DSRing it :( I don't want to go through the lottery though and might just accept it. The screen is pretty awesome and such good colours...Bahhhh, don't know what to do, as now having used it for a couple of hours, I want to keep it.

Ouch, looks like my first:

Pics obv look terrible but replacement doesnt bother me in slightest, it's very white and minimal, don't even notice it. I did notice a yellow floor when I was in a dark dungeon on skyrim though!

Just read though your post, im in about the same scenario. I want to spend 400 max so the asus is out of reach as it tends to come in about 460... Just looking for some good 1440p action as the ones i have tested are nice

Unfortunately there are not that many really good 1440p screens around at the moment. I guess there's the Hazro at that sort of price which is ok. Leave the Dell well alone though.
