For the price, theres nothing stupid about that!
One thing I don't understand, you say it's all the rage to buy crap cars... then seem to quite like it?![]()
I had a Rover 45 with a Honda Civic badge on it a few years back and quite liked it, so wasn't expecting to hate this. Phate said:Just noticed the front bumper is missing its front bib!

. Can't argue for a grand though...
Fan heater now working on all speeds, and a vast quantity of leaves removed from the pollen filter cavity, and pollen filter replaced. Fan actually moves some air now!
I know it would probably be one of the last cars on earth you would choose, but I think you would appreciate how it drives.
The facelift version (with shark gill A panels and slabby boot lid) had the twin pipes.
Duff VIS motors make the performance very flat, feels more like a 2L car. The linkages inside the inlet plenum that connect the VIA motors to numerous butterflies can fail as well which makes the engine sound rattly, and is a very expensive fix. Fortunately the plenum is ok on mine.
have a look on here for a guy that repairs vis motors(oil gets in them and wrecks them) he fits better motors and adds seals to keep the crap out

Is there any fix available for the linkages in the plenum at all?. Seeing Dogbreaths post just reminded me of a customers MG ZT with that problem...they were hoping to get it sorted themselves but just in case it comes back...
