Another title for Murray

Amazing really. 2 olympic golds, 2 times wimbledon champ, world champ, worlds number 1 and all the other tournaments he's won. Quite a phenomenon for a british player, never to be repeated for many many years.

No chance Murray will have recovered in time unfortunately, expect a comfortable two set victory for Djokovic.

You beautiful man you. Thank you for Pigeon'ing it early to ensure the victory. Even if no one else does I appreciate the sacrifices you make in terms of wrong predictions because you know what the right result should be.

Castle can go and **** himself as well. Murray played nearly 4 hours of tennis yesterday and he's crying about the time between serves FFS.

Agreed, Castle really is an annoying commentator. I think in the final there should be a bit of leeway given considering what a tough week it has been for the players.

Djokovic didn't look quite himself today, how much of that is due to who he was facing is difficult to say but Murray played well apart from a slight blip in the second set and very deservedly finishes the year as #1 in the World. Frankly I'm astonished he could move as much as he did considering he played two matches that were record breaking in terms of time taken. However I was not impressed by the idiots who were shouting out and flashing lights when Murray was serving for the match - total lack of respect for the players and the etiquette of watching, it might be fine for the Davis Cup but not anywhere else.

I'm chuffed for him, his work ethic is borderline insanity, the last 12 months he's added some serious doggedness to his game that allows him to claw back to get a win that he couldn't do last year.

What a year for Murray. Only the US Open stands out as a poor performance.

Perhaps shouldn't be losing to Del Potro either, but after 2015 I don't think anyone cares.

AM had by far the toughest group, and the toughest route to the final (djokovic having friday off) and yet still AM absolutely hammered him in those middle 8 games 7-1 - last 3 games of 1st set and 1st 5 of 2nd

He thoroughly deserves No1 after the last 6 months, yeah US Finals were a little disappointing but he was really playing on empty at that point understandably.

Whats even more amazing is that he doesnt have that many points to defend until end March / April time apart from Aus open, so he could really re-enforce No1 for some time to come

Dont forget the US Open a few years ago too :)

Yer, probly a split between being unable to keep muscle mass and not wanting to have the extra weight in the long games.

I'd argue he eats A LOT and works out very hard in the gym in strength and conditioning.

He weighs 84kg and is 190cm tall. A bit of a beast of a man considering its mainly cardio.
