Another tool from Piriform (CCleaner, Recuva, Defraggler)

Cheers Brian

It's still beta, so probably only some graphics cards will show up at the moment.

Picks up my 260 at home no problem, and my ati 2350 in work

Has any one tried it on a driverless install yet?

just tried it on a bare naked win2008 install. it doesn't recognise my graphics card properly (in sig) and it doesn't recognise my sound card either (audigy2).

edit: and after driver installation.....

Cool tool but it does not list my Q9550's actual CPU speed, it displays the rated speed 2.8GHz for example but not the actual (3.5GHz).

Everest is probably the best Profiler out there although it is a pretty in depth suite and not a dedicated utility - they also have freebie license giveaways and the beta versions are zipped executables.

I currently use everest, but it's a bit bulky, was hoping this could read hardware ID's and give the info

Maybe it's something they're working on, I should sign up to their forums to suggest it

Will take a look. CCleaner is great but I don't use Defraggler as I found Mydefrag better.

Speaking of CCleaner, I had a record removal amount today

19GB of temp files! Beat that ;)

It wont pickup the graphics card in my HTPC (Sapphire 4670 on WinXP 32bit), just sticks at analyzing.

Other than that everything looks fine.

If I am not mistaken, its still in beta isn't it so if that is the case, the memory problem might be down to a clitch that is yet to be fixed.
