tbh.. I don't watch much TV - on demand stuff means I can avoid it mostly + Ant and Dec tend to present the shows aimed at chavs/lower income groups anyway

They seem to be the biggest audience nowadays? Everything appears to target them. Isn't that the reason why there is so much trash TV?

It doesn't really matter if it's scripted. It's how it's delivered. Of course it's going to be scripted. You don't just create a show out of thin air.

To do live TV week in week out is a talent. That's why it's often the same people doing it.

You don't need to watch ITV to know who Ant and Dec are. They are part of the celebrity culture here in the UK, everyone knows who they are whether or not they watch their shows on ITV is irrelevant . I don't watch their meretricious shows but I still know enough about them to form an opinion of them. ITV produces some of the worst TV on TV and Ant and Dec make a living from this tripe. If you like them and watch, well then you're easily amused. :rolleyes:

Funny how I recognise some of the names who frequent many threads with their closed minded attitudes to race, sexualities, etc.. who are the ones looking down on people.

I love Ant and Dec, especially Saturday Night Takeaway and Britains Got Talent.

I'd rather be a happy, working class, chav than someone miserable **** with no sense of humour. I feel sorry for your families.
 
Saturday Night Takeaway is blooming marvellous. While I don't watch it often enough, it tends to be when It's on down the gym that I do.

It's the family thing, good old watch with the family on a Saturday night, great entertainment for all ages, the kind of thing I watched on a Saturday night growing up.

Ant and Dec make it what it is, may it continue on.
