Was 150 yds from OCUK - now 0.5 mile; they moved
Came home this afternoon and around 50-100 ants were running around in my living room on the carpet and on my TV stand etc.

I have put down Ant powder down outside at the fornt of my house and that should stop any more coming in, however whats the best way to "force" the ants back out that are inside my living room?

there is no easy way to get rid of ants that I know of. All the bug sprays I've tried have not been effective:(

Too late. They're probably part of the ant super colony which spreads across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Your house has been taken and soon you shall be assimilated. Sorry.

I recommend taking off and nuking your living room from orbit. Its the only way to be sure.

Although this will of course have an impact on the resale value of your house.

There's a way, haven't done it myself but the first few days living in this house, they started coming in from the back into the kitchen. My mum poisoned them with this sweet powder down with little chunks in, she put it everywhere really. They ended up taking it back to the nest. Which led to them all dying. Good luck!

What attracted them in, remove the food source and they should leave. That's what I did in the kitchen, put powder down where they where getting in the house as well. They where swarming over residue left on the sink and draining board. So gave it a good wash and within half hour there where pretty much none around.

Nippon Ant Killer gel

Only thing that i have found that works.

But be prepared for the number of ants to go up as they are attracted to this and take it back to the nest . The Queen Eats it and so does everyone else

and they pop there clogs.

Job done .

Takes about 7 days and you have to change the bait daily .

My ant numbers dropped after 2 days and were gone after 4.

Ants tend to travel from the nest to the source of food and back again, following their pheromone pathway, if you can't locate the nest, the disrupt their trail throughtout the house, and especially at the entrance to your house, bleach should do it, scrubbign brush and copious bleach.

Remove the food source and they'll go elsewhere.

antpowder where they are gaining entry should be enough if you can find the nest put ant powder all over the top of it.

job done my parents house got them one year when i was a kid and thats what we did never had any problems ever again
