Antisocial parking

For more parking horrors see my thread about the school run.

Are you allowed to say "****" here??

I am astonished that none of the GD Gurdianistas have yet pounced on you for crimes against political correctness!

The most right wing forum other than UKIP's and you think we have Guardian readers who get offended by ****?

There have been arguments recently that suggest the word's common usage has now evolved to describe generally-stupid people rather than derogatory slang for someone with Down's Syndrome.

Well not really, no. He had to squeeze his car in, he's therefore right up against the line on the otherside and he's fortunate enough that he's happy to do that but many people wouldn't be which is fair enough.

The guy the other side is purely selfish - there is no reason other than 'CBA' to explain why he's left a huge gap to the curb and encroached onto the other space, it's pure laziness.

Indeed, I would be very concerned parking that close to the driver side line, very hard for that person to get back into their car without banging your door, through no fault of their own.

I used to get so wound up by things like this, living in London there so many bell ends :(

I just don't care anymore, nothing really gets on my nerves as I expect it all the time so am never annoyed if it happens if that makes sense :)

Gay is another one. When I were a lad gay didn't mean an attack on someone's sexual orientation, it meant the above. We used bender for that.

Kids were/are ******s.

I've been suspended for the use of that very word, but as I messaged the don, do a search and see how many times it's posted here... :o

I would have parked mirror to mirror with their drivers side. :p

That way they have to clamber in through the other side, and might think twice about doing it next time. :p

I used to do that when I drove my old and battered Vectra.

I'm rather my precious about my 2014 CR-V...

Why do people think it is acceptable to take up 2 parking bays? Last night this **** didn't stop me, still managed to squeeze the Megane in. :D

Not defending anti social parking but people always seem to leap to conclusions that the driver is antisocial they don't see that when they parked up the was say a scooter on the left or some other reason for not being in the middle of the bay.

Same with supermarkets etc only takes 1 oversize or badly parked vehicle for everyone in that row to have to park awkwardly then the oversize vehicle leaves and everyone looks like an ahole parking like that etc

Same with parking on double yellows or in a non ideal/stupid place and people saying why have you parked there, plenty of legal/sensible places and get annoyed, but they don't consider that there must not have been a legal space 1hr ago when you parked etc, or that you need to carry 100kg from van or run a hose from van so cant park 100m down the road etc need to park right outside door / close as poss etc.

That's a huge gap. I could easily get into the driver side of that Astra. Should've parked closer to give yourself more space to get in/out of your own car.

By leaving a gap I was probably more considerate than the Astra driver. This was the only place to park as everywhere near by is either yellow lines or permit parking.

Also I doubt there had been a scooter parked at the side of the bay, any scooters I've seen have always been parked centre in a bay. And if that was the case then why didn't the Astra just park fully in my bay.

End of the day it was an inconsiderate person who thinks his suped up Astra deserves to take up 2 bays.
