Antisocial parking

I clicked on this thread to see some examples of ****-poor parking as it's a huge pet-peeve of mine....disappointed!

THIS is bad parking....

And it's not even the worst I've seen, just the last one that I took a snap of!!

*looks at photo* doesn't surprise me one bit that it was taken in chesterfield, I've seen so many terrible examples of parking at that tesco's.

This second one some might not consider bad parking, but when they've parked their car in the only area for coaches and it means you have to drive 10 mins off site to park, then as a coach driver it's very annoying

The police had to be called to move this one as it was parked on double yellows and was completely blocking the road off for large vehicle access

I always used to park in the allotted bay until some inconsiderate moron allowed her kids to open their door into my car. I now park in 2 bays if possible or I drive around to choose my space carefully i.e. a corner space or on an end and park well over.

If any one says anything which they rarely do I ask them if they want the bill if my door gets dinged. I take a great deal of pride in my vehicles as I know many on this forum do - but most people don't give a damn about their cars or anyone else's - these are the idiots I try to avoid by parking this way.

In my experience, you are just running a higher risk of being keyed tbh. Some people seem to be on the look out for an "excuse" to damage someone's car. Parking over two bays in a supermarket which then gets busy is a quick way to get looney toons to take notice.

Am I the only one thinking you may have really screwed the car on the right hand side if he/she had passengers to get in.

Getting your car dinged once isn't an excuse to park over two bays from there on out, especially if it's a busy car park. If it's an empty car park, then it's ignorable, but if the place is normally filled to the brim and you've parked over two spaces then there is no excuse for it, nothing winds me up more than inconsiderate people doing that.

I've seen it loads of times in hospital car parks where some moron has parked right over taking two bays to themselves, and it's pretty much impossible to find another space because it's completely rammed.

Is climbing over the gear stick really that hard? I've never done it myself but when I was learning to drive, my instructor used to do it all the time. She would pull up at mine and climb over into passenger seat, then at end of lesson climb back over again. :D

So.... what was she wearing, when she was climbing over that gearstick...?

Did she pause and give a little giggle halfway through the manouver?

Instead you become another type of idiot?

No excuse. Cars get dinged all the time, current car I'd only owned two weeks when some old lady dinged it, doesn't mean I'm going to start taking up 2 spaces.

Parking over two spaces is just like shouting "come vandalise my car!!" out loud. What I try and do is park as far as I can and usually pick a space that is next to a wall or something so I only have to take my chances with one car instead of two :p

Sigh.

The behaviour you seek to avoid does not condone the behaviour you exhibit.

And no, I do not want the bill if your car gets dinged.
