Any Be* or O2 users getting disconnected from PSN in evenings?

No, still terrible packet loss for me. Doing more tests this weekend, swapping routers, settings, wiring etc etc.

Every weekend we get terrible service.

Currently with Be unlimited. 8mb service.

I'm with BE, and have been having connection problems with the 360, not had the PS3 turned on for a while. The whole connection's been flakey for the last week or so, especially at night. I know BE are messing around at their end though, so I'm hoping it'll sort itself out.

How have you got on now with you PS3 ?

mine now drops off after about 30-60mins of play then i can't rejoin because i get the "you have been kicked message" on GTA

tried open dns and that mad no difference, using a netgear DG834GT v3 with the latest GTteam.

I should have updated the thread. My packet loss seemed to just disappear 2-3 days later and my web browsing, 360 and PS3 are all like greased lightning again.

I left a ticket open but do not expect them to tell me what happened for that 2-3 week period to be honest, but I have left my graphs etc with them.

First thing to test really would be pings to some popular servers to see if you are having general problems or specific problems to your console(s) (BBC, apple, google, any gaming servers you know etc).

I have the same router as you, but not the DGteam firmware.

I am on FastPath and a 3DB SNR margin, with a static IP address, with an MTU of 1500.

Do you actually get kicked from GTA or from PSN altogether? Can you re-connect straightaway or not?

So this only affects PS3 not 360?

I havent noticed any problems during Xbox Live, but i dont play any PS3 games online, BUT last time i played Tekken online it was pretty bad

on o2, signs me out all the time, got better yesterday was ok for 2 hours.

Im with O2, and I do tend to play SF2 HD online most evenings on PSN. I would say in the past month, about 1 in 3 times I will get signed out for some unknown reason. Sometimes I can sign straight back in but once connecting to a game I will be signed back out again. Most the times its fine, but there is definately a noticeable problem.

I'm with BT and I've been having PSN issues recently, so it might not be ISP specific.
Has been a lot better this week though, last week was a nightmare, I was lucky if I could stay in for 5 mins at a time.

Funny thing was that my internet browsing via PS3 was fine, so I assume it was a problem with the PSN itself.

SF2 problem. Happened to me before as well. So many bigs and glitches like this

Anyone with O2 or Be problems paste what DNS servers are using here.

I have a PS3 but neither are my ISPs. Putting that text in big red letters though is like having a big shiney red button with the words 'do not press' written above it.... I just had to reply!
