Easy all you curious viewers of this thread, hows things?

On the off chance that you actually do dj dnb, please post :)

If you just saw this post in the 'new posts section and couldnt care less, i do appologise, i suppose at the very least i should have included a photo to make the click into this thead worthwhile, maybe the slightly unothadox approach this thread is taking has redeemed it somewhat?

BOHHHHh KEEP VINYL ALIVE

i dont see why people hate cds? its just plain ignorance, by all means use both, but you're cutting off your nose to spite your face if you stick to vinyl and refuse to touch cds

all the top djs ive seen use cds, it doesnt mean they're worse DJs for it

unless you're scratching and want the true vinyl sound cutting cds out of the equation is just daft, having both gives you the best of both worlds

if a top dj walked into a club with a bunch of cds and a few vinyl he'd be pretty annoyed when they said "no cd is crap only vinyl here" and rightly so

A lot of the top DnB DJs that I can think of use vinyl; scratching is a fairly big part of the genre.

I actually use a laptop (although I'd much rather be using vinyl - I just don't have the cash to drop on that kit). That said, I'd probably go for Final Scratch/Serato Scratch if a grand dropped in my lap.

From the post - he wasnt saying cds were rubbish - he was just
saying dont let vinyl die out totally.

Which from how i took it means use both.

Andy

Ye i mix DnB :D

THE ONLY WAY TO LISTEN TO MUSIC

My current selection of tunes im playing are old schooly more heavier tunes.

Playing out a LOT of Subfocus and Fresh atm.

Fresh "Capture The Flag" - Loving it soooo much.

It is used in Andy C - Nightlife3.

OH also im listening to a lot of Pendulum, playing with there tunes a lot. I havent actually bought any "newly" released tunes in a while, still loving the older 2002 tunes :D

All being mixed up from Vinyl on my decks :D:D

Good replys people.

For the record (i know this aint a court of law : )

I don't disklike cdjs I'd like to see the future have cdjs used in conjunction with vinyl perhaps as much as 50%/50%.

I love vinyl tho' and I dont love CDs.. there is just something special about decks and vinyl, just even watching it play.

For the person who wants NEW drum and bass, check out stuff on Hospital label for liquidy/uplifting/soulful dnb, and RAM Records for Jump Up style, there's a ton of other labels too, I wouldn't recommend the panecea tho, its proper rapage of the ear ;) (imo) however, check it out and see for yourself, u may love it,

Vinyl needs a skill.

Anyone can do digital.

hahahaha

that made me laugh

vinyl is harder to beatmatch/cue etc yeah, but digital etc doesnt do it all for you, using both vinyl and cd is the best way imo. i reckon vinyl only now is really limiting your choice of music

walk up to armin van buuren and tell him that him using cdjs makes him a crap dj ;)

i agree wid th vinyl playa in here keep vinyl goin 4 life

I loved drum and bass from around 1997 to 2001, but recently i cant stand it, moved in a direction i dont like. Should be cut into categories like house really.
You'd have to pay me to own a pendulum album.
Old skool hype, Aphrodite, BC, Ram Trilogy, Optical, ed rush, brookie but to name a few.

I love how everyone diss pendulum when in-fact dj's like andy c, nicky blackmarket etc were dropping pendulum tunes way before they went mainstream...

mainstream hate is funny...
