Any games that made you buy a console?

Gran Turismo. But since I have Assetto, Project Cars, Dirt Rally I think I will pass on GT Sport. Lost respect for Polyphonic and Kaz over the years.

Got a PS4 for GTA 5. It was then announced on PC sometime after so got rid of the PS4!

I bought an xbox one for the forza games not sure it was worth it, i enjoyed Horizon 2 a lot but Forza 5 and 6 make me wish id just stuck to my PC sims

XB1 - Ori and the Blind Forest (even though it's on Steam)

XB1/PS4 - Batman: Arkham Knight (even there's a crappy port on Steam)
XB1/PS4 - Unravel (even though that's on Origin)

PS4 - The Last of Us
PS4 - Little Big Planet

Wii U - Splatoon

3DS - Fire Emblem: Fate
3DS - Monster Hunter X

Yes but then I realised I'd rather lose my man tackle rather than lose a mouse and keyboard for gaming so stuck with PC and dumped the PS3.

Up until the late '90's I gamed on consoles anyway.

Then from about 1997-98 I was gaming on PC and I still do. I then saw the advert for Gran Turismo 3 on TV and went out and bought a PS2 with GT3. It was the only game I played and bought for it. Recently I started collecting and playing games for the PS2, but only games that were exclusive to it.

I then did the same with the PlayStation 3 and Gran Turismo Prologue, although I have bought and played other games for the PS3. But again just the exclusives.

I bought an Xbox One to play Gears OF War Ultimate, but again I've played other games on it too.

I will buy a PS4 when the next version of Gran Turismo comes out.

Madden, god knows why they arent on pc! Got a ps4 and xbox one but i always find them a more sociable platform than pc.

I love my pc but i only really play pc only games, strategy mainly or solo player games where the social part doesnt come into play. I know the pc can be as sociable but i only know one guy with a comparable pc.

Also pc tech has slowed right down to a point where i dont feel the need to upgrade for a very long time. Even though my kit is mid range by some standards i feel no need to upgrade unless VR ends up being off the chain.

I bought a PS2 at the end of its lifetime for various exclusives I had missed and had a very fun time with it.

I also got a PS3 not long after release, which was a present from my uncle. I was chuffed to bits with it, fantastic console with some great games. It died (YLOD) about two years ago and I'm considering trying to revive it for Ryu Ga Gotoku 5 (Yakuza 5). For a similar reason, I'm also tempted to get a PS4 just to play Ryu Ga Gotoku 0, Ryu Ga Gotoku Kiwami and Ryu Ga Gotoku 6. Those are practically the only games I'm miffed I can't sink my teeth into (maybe also Tekken 7 if it doesn't come to PC and The Last of Us). MGS is already on PC and there's a good chance FFXV will come too at some point.

It's become my favourite franchise ever. Very oldschool, amazing atmosphere, great plot/characters and amazingly brutal and satisfying combat. It was the closest thing to Shenmue right until Shenmue 3 was announced:p

It's a bit daft but I might grab a PS4 for those somewhere down the road. Uncharted 4 and the rest of the bunch would only be a nice bonus.

I was tempted by a PS4 for The Last Of Us, but it would be a waste. I already have a XB1 that I never game on.

That's the thing with consoles for me. I don't ever feel like a console purchase can be justified because there aren't enough games (that I would want) to purchase for it. £300-£400 on a console and extra controller to play handful of games just isn't worth it. Although the thought of being able to chill on my couch to play Ori and the Blind Forest with an XB controller or Little Big Planet with the Mrs seems very appealing.

I also don't think I could ever let go of Teamspeak or some similar VOIP aspect that allows me to play with my friends, or just hang out to chat sh** while surfing the web.

Have both an Xbox one and PS4 for the exclusives - games like Forza, Uncharted, Halo, Destiny etc. I'm also tempted to pony up and get Arkham Knight on the PS4 as the performance sucks on PC.

Everything else I generally get on PC.

Wii u did, still want games from it.

Won a PS4 and long term loaned it to a friend, absolutely disappointed in its current line up. Will get it back for uncharted and ff 7 depending on pc release times.

Madden, god knows why they arent on pc!

Used to be, like NHL. Back in the day both were the best versions available.

Unfortunately PC piracy was rampant at the time, ea stoped bothering with developing pc versions, giving us PS2 ports till it got long in the tooth with stat only updates around the 08 versions.

We get fifa purely because of the insanely popular monetized ultimate team, if only maddens and nhl's were as profitable, we'd get the game on pc:)

Question come question though, Formula 1 on the PS1 was a deal I couldn't pass on.

Yar I was dead-set on buying a PS4 after prices went down. But it would be a waste of money for the handful of games not releasing on the PC.

Plus the "next gen" console spec is totally underwhelming, so I wasn't even interested from that angle.
