any idea when Radeon GPU's can be bought at normal prices?

AMD and Nvidia probably will not produce many lower end cards while they can make bigger profits on the likes of the 6700xt and 3070. Hopefully the Radeon 6600 or 6500 cards will not be in demand with miners as they have lower memory bandwidth, but it could take until next year for production to meet demand on these cards, by which time the 7000 series cards will be out not long after

6600XT out soon, and if they have a solid power vs output for mining will be bought. A 5500XT gets 29 mh/s ay 70w
 
Some have already sold out, wonder how many went to scalpers looking for a quick £100 on an auction site like they are doing on the PS5. IMO scalpers after a quick £100 are going to make it harder for the market to correct compared to the last mining craze
 
Just saw what I call a standard 6900 XT for £1999. Yeah, as of a hour a go I have decided to sit the gen out until RTX 5000. Just settled for a PS5 and sent my 3090 back to where it came from. I'll just open an ISA account perhaps, may as well save what I had put up for a new rig.

I only buy new from OCUK as i dont trust 2nd hand sites due to terrible experiences and i hope one day i get access to the OC forums marketplace i think its called as i think i might have some luck on there! but for now my kids have to use my pc every now and then hehe.

Never. As long as scapers and scalping etailers are alive, the GPU price will not go down
 
Price will come down once availability goes up which is starting to happen, simple really at the moment these disreputable sites can charge what they like. others charge MSRP the choice is ours to make.
