Any Mech Warrior Games on the Horizon?

unfortunately niether the phoenix hawk nor marauder (designs) will ever make it into any pc game developed by MS. FASA (who onsold the digital rights to MS) lost the rights to use those designs (& a bunch of others) in a law suit.

What?! Is that why we got stupid designs like the urbanmech and all those really poor looking light mechs in later games? The original board game had some awesome looking units - the shadow hawk, battlemaster, stinger and phoenix hawk. Proper mechs, not something that looked like it was made from lego :mad:

Those older designs where stolen from Robotech. Infact i think there where 16 mech designs copied from Robotech, that are now not allowed to be used in mech games. If you want to see the old mechs, then find a copy of Mechwarrior 2. MW2 came out before they had to remove the copied mechs.

AFAIK, there was a Battletech MMORPG about in testing about a few years ago. It was called something like Mechwarrior 3050 or something to that effect. EA had the publishing rights to it and decided to bin it.

Bought SLIA today for 9.99, seems ok.

Not much depth to it I think from first impressions but we'll see, will venture online with it later
