Any one else get depressed on hang over days ?

I sometimes feel depressed if I go out drinking multiple nights in a row, as the OP says you do analyze things and think about trivial things way too much.

yep they really mess me up these days which along with the health aspect is one reason I rarely drink

definately used to leave me feeling depressed the next day, unless I'd had a blinding night whilst on the pee.

Nowadays I rarely drink, and I'm 20

Yea I get really depressed when Im hungover! I use to be fine but then throughout uni where I was drinking ridicilous amounts I started to get pretty bad depression/anxiety the day after! Its weird as ive found certain alcohol types depict how down ill be. Like vodka for example, I simply dont drink vodka anymore as I get really really bad anxiety after drinking it! But then sambuca seems to make me fine in the morning! Sambuca removes that higher level of thinking that causes depression and anxeity. So its pretty much all Ill drink now, sambuca and beer, just try drinking just these 2, I bet you wont wake up depressed!

Yeah it's very common to feel depressed. Even if you not throwy-up hungover.

Any one drink the next day (1-2 units) to curb the acute withdrawal? That might work, works with other things LOL.

That doesn't mean it makes you depressed or can cause depression all it means in this context is that it diminishes the function or activity of a specific part of the body i.e. the central nervous system.

which, as part of a bad lifestyle e.g. too much junk food, lack of exercise, can and does affect mood. Long term of all this and more and your biological computer can and probably will get depressed, spliff is another example.
The mood becomes like an uneven blood sugar, a couple of drinks and all is lovely and great and after an hour in order to balance the already chemical imbalance you have to have another. Sure, alcohol alone isn't the cause of depression for everyone but for some it is. Why do you think, many many years ago the Russian governments gave free booze to the proles, they were too p****d to revolt when wrecked. :)

Don't me wrong i certainly think alcohol can cause depression but that has nothing to do with the fact it's a CNS depressant. That's the (slightly pedantic) point i was trying to make :)

Can't remember the last time I had a hang over. Haven't ever been depressed really either, a link there maybe?

Nah :p

I usually think about what happened and laugh it up, keeps me happy. I even laugh whilst throwing up as I never usually do :p

When I was with my X I used to love hang overs!! we used to munch on junk food and watch loads of DVD`s etc. Any way I found over time that I would start to get really depressed when hung over and start analysing my hole life! and even thou I never did anything wrong when I drank I used to feel like people didn't like me.

Fast forward 2 days after being hung over I would have all my self confidence back again! and be not bothered.

When I drink I smoke , I wake up with woman I don't even like and seem to all ways promise them something when I am drunk !!.

I think I have found my answer in life and am going to be a none drinker !!

I all ways seem to be sick the next day as well. As I run , jog and do Thai boxing a lot and eat clean etc do you think my hang overs would be worse than normal people ?? If you drank all the time then your hang overs wouldnt be as bad would they ?

Things must be bad if your worried about your hole! Or worse if there is life in it!

;)

I don't drink much if at all, so I never have this problem.

Always good fun laughing at friends the next morning, or waking up and playing music at a house party and making breakfast xD
