Any one watching the world champs! (snooker) ** spoilers **

I felt gutted for the boy Day, he looks like an accomplished player but he had a couple of rash misses and then that nightmare on the pink knocked the stuffing out of him. I can't stand that pillock, O'Sullivan.

I think doing it again (though the cue ball never potted) on the black was truely his undoing in the end. Once was harsh enough.. but twice? Damn.

Did it earlier in the tourney too. Hole in his game it seems.

C'mon Ronnie

I didn't realise he did it again. :|

It's pretty easy to do actually, I've done it several times myself. I don't get a lot of backspin normally, so when I need a lot, I dig right down. At least nobody laughs at you in the crucible.

Murphy's been having a 'mare in his game, I saw him missing a stupidly easy pot to the middle and he's 4 down already.

fu and doherty on hmmmmm not sure who id prefer to win i like doherty but FU seems to have improved a lot! Very solid performace and great shots all the time can tell he's been practcing

Anybody watching? Spectacular jump from day... unintended mind
Just got home, and yes, I was watching. 2nd row from the back in the Crucible.

Wasn't so great being that far back with my eyesight as it is, but I could see enough to get a pretty good idea, plus, I had a headset on.

Memorable bits:

  • The atmosphere (you really don't get even half of the audience reaction on TV). Just as well really given all the whispered conversations, bodily functions and whatever that were going on around the arena.
  • Those two miscues.
  • Ronnie trying to put his boot through the floor of the Crucible.
  • Ryan Day being referred to as Mark Selby by Dennis Taylor, then when he realised his mistake, stating that Mark Selby was 'no longer with us'.

Oh well, as I only had tickets for the weekend, I'm back to watching the rest on TV like everyone else. :)

Oh, and going through all the coverage I recorded and trying to spot myself on TV, of course. :)

I love those little earpieces you get with the commentry on, we got them when we go to the masters in wembley - makes it so much more entertaining to watch.

so glad Ronnie and Fu is through!
hope they will win the next game cos i want them to play in the final and Fu winning!!!!

Fu has improved a lot.plus hes from HK(my parents are from HK aswel so im biased ;) )

Ronnie is just amazing to watch...he plays so fast.i remember watching him play Day,i went to print off some pictures for my coursework, which took 2mins came back and he finished that frame(last frams for that session):(

Snooker!!

Has anyone discovered they like snooker?

I used to hate it, but now I realise that it was probably because of the programs cancelled while competitions were played. WIth Simpsons on 4 and no more buffy/startrek my annoyance has gone, and I'm actually getting quite into it.

Maybe because I'm a fairly captive audience; heavy revision for finals and it can be watched with the sound down ^_^

Think my pool skills have improved too!
