Just gone out to do a bit of shopping and.... I can't because someone has parked blocking my car on my drive.
This is happening more often now and from a quick google search there doesn't appear to be much I can do about this legally? (I've had to get taxi's to work twice recently because of it at £18 a pop)
Nobody nearby knows who it belongs to.
Anyone know if i would get anywhere ringing 101 with this or is it pointless?

I thought it was an offence to block someone’s access to a public carriageway, ring 101 and complain, they’ll tell you if its an offence or not.

Tbf it's kind of hard to see it's a in use driveway. Ask the council to paint a line.

Tried ringing the number on the van to see if they can get hold of whoever drives it to move it?

People can miss things like this, but I think he hasn't missed it, but thought he'd left you enough room.

Anyway, as some people would miss it, is there anything you can do to make the driveway more obvious, e.g. a sign on your property, or a chain across the entrace with a big sign on "Do Not Block Please!".

I'm not sure if the council would paint some double yellows down for you, or other keep clear markings on the road, but it might be worth asking.

Probably the issue isn't getting past the truck but having enough space with it parked there and with cars and van parked the other side, to swing around. I'd hazard I could do it but I wouldn't be confident about doing it.

Quick make a pointless thread on overclockers forum, oh no hang wait, maybe I should ring the number on the side of the van....

Rocket science....

Don't give up day job....

I'd love to see those asking why the OP can't get out attempting to get out of that drive!

Maybe you'd have a chance going forwards but backwards... No chance! Well, unless that C-Max has been fitted with a forklift inspired rear wheel steering mod!

They would do it?
When I got mine, the Council said I had to have two Police reports before I could have an H-Bar. Didn't take me very long to get the evidence and IIRC the Council were fairly quick to paint the line (a month or so - quick for a Council :)).

As mentioned above, it is illegal to block a car from exiting their property, but not from entering. I believe utility companies and emergency services are exempt though.
