Any parking guru's on here?

I left it for the night and went to work on the bike, it went at 8am (cctv over entrance)

The galaxy wouldn't get out no way, you can see a yellow step sticking out the back of it by almost a foot
But yeh, Rroff was correct, i could have slid by with 3-4" either side but swinging out was impossible, the pics make the street look bigger than it is.
People have to kerb park here or you couldn't fit a fiesta down the middle :)

Which law does it contravene? I had a quick look but couldn’t see anything concrete. Some newspaper sites said you may get a ticket (heavy emphasis on the ‘may’ as I imagine the police couldn’t be arsed in most cases).

Why did the OP just not ring the number on the side of the van? People are too scared to talk with each other these days. I am sure a quick phone call would have got them to ring the driver and he would have come and moved it.

It's not just a ticket. Your vehicle can be towed and you will have to then pay a ~£275 fine - that's the information the Police gave me when I contacted them to get the two reports so I could apply for my H-Bar.
 
Next time. Trolley jack under the back end. Couple of mates to help push the back end round and leave it blocking the street.
 
You cant get out of there? seriously?.... its a small car not a van or a big 4X4!

Besides if it was me i would be reversing in there anyway. I assume its impractical to make a space to turn round in your yard?

Driving onto someone else's property without permission is called civil trespass and you could end up in court if the property owner decides to take legal action.
 
You can totally get out of there.

I had my proudest moment last year. Parked in a private car park space (legitimately) in a LWB van. When I got there it was empty and my entrance crossed marked bays. When I came back all the marked bays were full and the only exit was another way out.

Let's just say it was TIGHT. The exit was a 90 degree exit onto the road, and both the walled exit and the road were literally about 10" wider than the van. It was impossible to go forwards so I had to do about a 30 point turn in the car park to reverse out with the wing mirrors in and a colleague helping.

Genuinely thought I was spending the night there.
