Are the any students here? if would where and what are u studying?

Im currently at SAC in Ayr doing a HND in Sustainable Building Technology :) hope to advance on to building surveying

2nd year doing IT at aylesbury college.

Pretty crap tbh but only a few months left so no point dropping out now.

Mechanical engineering at Bath. Currently postponing exam revision fairly effectively.

There's a reasonable chance that more than half the people regularly on these boards are students avoiding essays / labs.

4th year at RGU, studying for a BSc in Computer Science.

It's grim.

RGU eh? Would you say CS in itself is grim or would it be better at say Aberdeen?

[Might be studying a CS/Maths at Aberdeen Uni... experiences in the subject would be good.]

RGU is terrible. A totally disorganised mess - CS is fine, just the staff and courses are a mess. I learned more in my first semester at Edinburgh than I have here.

I spent 2 years at Edinburgh University before coming here - I wish I hadn't, but hey ho. A friend studied CS at Aberdeen - said it was great.

Thanks man, that gives me some hope now. Now I just have to decide between Engineering or CS/Maths :D

Sorry about your experience though.

idk if this would count as a being a "Student" but o well
1st year in college doing as levels in
Biology- loved it at GCSE not enjoying it that much ATM TBH
Chemistry- By far the easiest out of the 3 so far, ya know anything easy is fun =P
Physics - Really Fun,(Guess), But Fun

Got my exams in 3 days =O any extra advice or tips would be appreciated in any of the subjects =)

Second year college, off to do Electronic Engineering next year at Bristol ( hopefully). Done revision for 2/3 subjects, just procrastinating one subject and that can be fixed in the next two weeks at college :P.

All good then, cheers :)

I'll assume the confusion was people flatly refusing the follow the established algebraic conventions for no obvious reason.

^What does computer games programming involve? I was quite temped by computer science, but wouldn't have thought to specialise so much at undergrad.
