Any Students??

Both are fantastic universities. Aberystwyth is a pain to get to, but it's a really great town and the uni is brill. :)

Probably going to take the MegaBus up there or get a lift of somebody.

Swansea do like to base everything around Java though, whereas the majority of others start people off on Python and then gradually move into Java on the second year.

However, I've been told that if you go into Swansea you will come out knowing how to program properly.

I'm working as an engine cadet with Wilhelmsen lines of Norway, studying toward a HND in Mechanical Engineering and an Engineer Officer of The Watch Certificate issued by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency at South Tyneside College in South Shields. I'm about a year into my cadetship, having already done 8 months at college last year, and 4 months at sea. I'll do another year pretty much at college, go back to sea for another few months, then return to do another 3 months of college, which comprises of finishing off the HND and doing advanced courses in Medical First Aid, Fire Fighting and Proficiency is Small Craft and Rescue Boats. We;ve already done Personal Survival, Elementary First Aid and Basic Firefighting, which were legal requirements before we could work on vessels during our sea phase.

So I went to Cardiff today, overall I'm impressed with the teaching but not the campus.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to pick which one I actually want to go to.

Mature student here (28) studying an Access to Medicine course in Norfolk.

Will be progressing on to the 5 year medicine course in September (as I've got 2 offers already :D )
