Why does NTHELL have to screw up every week? :(
In the same boat, mate.

If it's a nice warm day tomorrow and they're still acting up, I'm going to find it very hard to not verbally abuse NTL over the phone tomorrow, forcing towards some sort of discount for my seemingly discounted Internet service.:mad:

<<--Nottingham here

I thought i was the only person with this problem, i've been having problems with google, gamespot, ebay ect. some times when i try and do a search on ebay, firefox's download box appears asking me to donwload ebayISAPI.dll file

This is just plain annoying. Why can't they do this kind of stuff in the middle of the night when the amount of people using their internet is much lower. I don't like having my internet connection play up so that someone else can download porn faster

Having the same problems as you lot here in South Wales. The good thing though is that I appear to have gone up to 4mb :D

In all fairness, this is the first downtime I've had from NTL in the last 9 months, which isn't bad for the size of their network.

Lets not all jump of the NTL bashing bandwagon.

Although you can snipe them about outsourcing their support to Asia. :(

Problems here too, I actually checked here to see if anyone else was having the same problems or if it was me as I'd just reformatted.

Having trouble getting Firefox, google, anything. Same problem as others here, I've just reformatted and was about to download drivers.

Annoying!

I did a search on the forums earlier today but came up with no results so i've been fiddling with my router and cable modem all day and it wasnt even the problem its NTL's problem.

are we back in business now? as i can search through the google link part on the right of firefox - not been able to do that since about 1pm

Ah, excellent, not just me then :)

4mb ??? hold -up so who will enligten me ?
Currently on the 2mb down 300kb (I think) up. Is every NTL 2mb customer getting a free upgrade to 4mb, and if so is the upload speed increasing too ?
Can anyone point me to a link announcing said upgrade plans ?

Cheers

Yes, all 2mb customers ought to be upgraded to 4mb during june. The uploads n things are changing too (for the better), but i dont recall the exact figures sorry.
If the uploads are going up, then I can live with the interuptions.

Think I need to phone NTL tomorrow, and push for some figures. :)

Good News :D
Were was this announced ? I havent heard a sausage about it till I came here to see if anyone else was having probs !

Lol yeah I dont usually look on OcUk in this section, or anywere for broadband info TBH :o
Excellent, not bad at all for free, but then i guess with all the 8mb lines being advertised they best do something to keep us all from jumping over to a BT line :)
Thanks Toilen :D
