Recieved mine at the beginning of this week - 2:1 in Internet Technologies and Business! So chuffed!

Looking at a MSc in Forensic Computing in the future.

Who else has recieved their results? What do you intend to do from here?

Sorry but it's "their" and not "there". :o
Um, i got my results for my first year if that helps...oh and my friend's sister got a first from Cambridge, Zoology. A first!

Low 2.1 in Molecular Genetics, bit miffed as I thought I'd done better. Still waiting on my Pharmacology and Physiology marks.

Still, a 2:1 is a 2:1 - I totally **** up my second year due to overally possesive and demanding GFs and was told I would have to work my fingers to the bone to get a 2:1 and I did it - might be a low 2:1 but I am so proud of myself.

Yeah true I guess, just put a lot of effort in but when it came to the exams I think I'd burnt myself out already. Still, that mark doesn't even count towards my 3rd year degree mark, I'm just a damn perfectionist :(

Congrats on yours, still possible to get a 1st in the 3rd year if this one didn't count for much :)

Im sure you understood what he ment, jesus christ its only a forum i didn't realize everything has to be perfect.......give the poor dude a break.

Because I am tired, and misplaced "there" with "their"?

I corrected it when pointed out - crawl back into your cave.

There's more than just that one though.

No need to have a hissyfit, it's not my fault you can't spell. Still, doesn't matter these days, you can still get a 2:1 even without the ability to spell!

Dude, move on....

Have you not anything better to do than pick out little mistakes in threads?

Isnt that what the word 'Troll' is used for?

Oh man your so cool. I wish I was you.

I rarely pick up on mistakes. I just couldn't help but find it funny that someone that's just been given a very good grade at degree level still hasn't worked out how to use his words.

Sue me.

So you think people should have spelling tests before being awarded their degrees? I would agree that literacy skills are going down the pan but his degree wasn't in spelling and grammar, it was in Internet Technologies and Business which he may well be very good at!

edit:

To try and stay on topic, I get my second year results on the 30th (hopefully!)

He may well be indeed, and I'm not knocking that. I just find it odd that you can actually get to degree level without the ability to spell having sunk in. You'd think that even just through repetition, people would be able to manage to place an apostrophe correctly, or suss out the differences between they're there and their. All the people on these boards can manage to learn things far more difficult than that, but when it comes to spelling they can't be arsed.

I just don't like people who are lazy with english. It's just always struck me as a way to really let yourself down.

I don't claim to be perfect, my English is decent but not perfect, but the way some people butcher our language through nothing but laziness just makes me despair of them.

Either way, what do I know? I didn't even get to the end of high school before they threw me out. I'm probably just bitter :D

it is a forum, you never typed a word incorrectly while on a forum, and you honestly think this reflects the persons intelligence?

Your the one who needs a break!

Of course I have, there's probably mistakes in at least one of the posts I've made in this thread. I'm not talking about mistakes, we all make them, I'm talking about pure laziness.

My post was a passing comment, I honestly have no idea why you girls are all spitting venom at me like I've just slaughtered your first born children in front of you.
