Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

Full proper sentences, even correct the iPhone's american spelling of z in some words to s. The exceptions are when i text certain people and purposely spell some words wrong or made up words, not text speak, just made up words. Like Pesketti instead of Spaghetti :p

I try to spell mine correctly and do the best I can, I wouldn't say it was perfect though, not by a long way.

I also find it 'rly annoyin whn ppl rite lyk dis'

I always text in full proper English, only ever shortening when it goes over the character limit... damn character limit.

Just a bit annoying if you're on payg or with a small limit and the text goes to under 15 characters over.

Why pay an extra 10p for a word or two?

lol yeah, when I was on PAYG and was nearing the end of my top-up I really tried to cram every word I could in. Now I'm on contract I just blissfully type sentences as long and as correctly spelt as I wish :D

This is another mobile phone cancer that has creeped in pubs/clubs all over the country - people who sit there (mainly women) texting while bands/acts are performing.
It doesn't actually happen with my band that often and its usually our roadie who does it and I have to shout him from the mic to get his attention :)
I go to watch a lot of bands and it really does pain me to see people with their heads down into a phone.

Saturday night was a classic.
Our guitarists girlfriend invited 4 workmates to come and see us and they sat down by us.
I started to talk to them and it was obvious they weren't rock fans and especially when we went on they just pulled a face.
Halfway through the first spot they got their phones out and just sat there looking into their laps for about 20 minutes until the end of the spot.
When I told my wife about this thread I'd started I mentioned the 4 women and I couldn't believe her reply.
Apparently the 4 women were texting each other because they couldn't hear each other over the noise of my band.
Classic :D

When I'm 'texting' I can't bring myself to shorten a word because I feel that somebody will have a go at me so therefore I take ages to text.
My wife (who is 50) has really got the hang of it -
"Ope u av ad yr t. We av ad a gud day got put in 1st clas goin. Jst sitin in pub avin sumfin 2 eat. C u l8r"

Aaaaaaargh

Anybody else who has to write the whole thing out?

me too with predictive text on it's quicker than trying to remember how to write it in text speak. What is worse is forums where people continue to write in text speak.
