Anybody else who writes normal 'texts' like me?

Always unless I get near the end of the text limit then You is changed to u,

The one that really gets on my **** is "yh" how hard is it to spell yeah or yes?!!

i must say im guilty of saying tho and when a word ends with ing i put in i.e
goin

am i that bad :(

I do this as well, no idea why I do it anymore since I have unlimited texts !

My girlfriend always uses text speak despite having a full bloody QWERT keyboard on her phone, the only benefit she finds with that phone is that her drunken texts are as coherent as sober, can't say the same about me ! :o

I can’t stand text speak it irritates the hell out of me. I understand why some people do it (especially if there on pay as you go or got limited texts) to save space and send less messages. Lucky my girlfriend doesn't speak text speak otherwise I would go mad when im texting her!

No need for it. It's not 10 years ago when we only had 160 characters per text and some phones couldn't add texts together. The text dictionaries are advanced now and quick to use...even without predictive text it doesn't take long.

Both my Mum & Dad write in this 'shorthand', I write normally. It's like some horrible role reversal. Perhaps they're going senile.

I only shorten words like going to goin and you to u.

everything else I try and spell correctly, predictive text does it all for you anyway, it can take longer to abbreviate sometimes.

but I have a big hate for the text speaking kids now-a-days, they actually talk like that now, because the schools have become slack. I even hear that they aren't made to do P.E. anymore!! Back in the day we did about 4 hours+ per week. Which mostly involved running around in circles in a field in December, then getting your ass whooped by the giant kids at Rugby.

that's why the country is full of fat, illiterate, good for nothing lay abouts!

<stepping off of soap box and going for a sit down>

Shorten the odd word but the rest of the time it's predictive text and full grammar.

What grinds my gears more than txt speak on a phone, is people who do it on MSN; these people need to be culled. There is absolutley no need for it, even on phones! So what you abbreviated a sentence? You could have easily fit it in with the normal character limit and doesn't make you look retarded at the same time!

It takes longer to read a text type message than one written in a longer grammatically correct sentence!

Plus i dont know what half of the text type words mean! lol

texting with predictive for full words is so much easier and faster than coming up with stupid shortened versions
