This is why most people say it, faster then typing 1920x1080. Just say 1080p, everyone knows what res it means.

p refers to progressive. 1080 is sufficient. I blame mobile phones and consoles....and TV marketing!

I think I got my 19" 1600x1200 CRT back around 2000. It's still going now but lives in the spare bedroom

Probably the 'best' upgrade I ever bought.

Hi-Def now is surely those 2560x1600 screens ? ( I haven't got one yet

16:9 / 1920 x 1080 resolution are so rubbish!

1080p is sooo old school now, it baffles me too why people think that out of date tech is good just because it has become a cheapo standard (just a massive excuse for display manufacturers not to have to make anything for the masses at a higher res than 1080p).

Also my 1200p monitor is over 3 years old now!

Currently if I was getting a new monitor, I wouldnt accept anything less than this beast:
