GTA IV, brilliant story but only if you can actually get the game to run

Knowing that Deus Ex HR next month,started playing original Deus Ex for 101th time

Graphically its of course old,but that dont make game bad.
Personaly for me its best game ever..

GTA4 - completed this on the 360
Max payne 1 and 2 these i completed on the pc years ago still very good games though

Batamn AA: just completed this on the pc a few days ago brilliant game cannot wait for the AC

Mass Effect games are a very good shout if you haven't played them. Reading your OP i would suggest that they would be ideal, along with AC Brotherhood.

Finding a game with a great story and not liking RPG's can't be easy!

New games.. Crysis 2 and Homefront are pretty good. As well adding to the pool of "Go and play Brotherhood, right now."

Old games.. Deus Ex and Half Life 2

Tis a shame you don't like RPGs. I'd recommend The Witcher, The Witcher 2 and Dungeon Siege 3

Mass Effect 1 & 2 as well.

The amazing thing is it manages to put it all into a decent story

Perhaps you'd like the Penumbra series of games?

I'm midway through the 2nd myself and the atmosphere and bits of story that you pick up along the way have been great.

AC Brotherhood is an amazing game.

Bioshock 1&2 are amazing.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is amazing.
They are all amazing.
