Anybody want a broken toe

Caught the door with my foot this morning and heard a big cracking noise, looked down and my little toe was at 90 degrees :rolleyes:

Been down hospital and they did x-ray and I have snapped in clean in 2

They asked if I wanted an anaesthetic before they reset it but said that often this is more painful than the resetting procedure as they have to inject twice oin the skin between the toes :eek:

my brother was with me and was highly sympathetic especially when asking the doc if he could film it on his mobile :mad:

the odd bit is that I could hobble around when it was out of position , since resetting I can't even stand

just to finish it all off nicely my brother tipped me out of the wheelchair while trying to get up a pavement into the car park :rolleyes:

ouch. my mum closed a door on my foot once. took a toe nail clean off. no bleeding or anything. i didnt even realise untill i took my socks off and it fell out

I fractured my little toe a couple of New Years Eve's ago by dropping a beer bottle on it....I feel your pain.

wasn't too bad during the reset though the "bone on bone" noise was a bit disconcerting, was afterwards that it really started to hurt

I'm just about speechless, of all the things you could have done to injure yourself kayaking I'd never have suspected a broken ankle from stepping out the boat.
