Good evening, i just put put my psu in my pc and got all my new stuff setup and running. But urm :S The fans seem to be spinning a lot slower than they used to in my old case and mobo and i've been stuck on the repair screen for what seems an age :| Not to sure what the hells going on :(

you can alter the fan speeds I think in the bios,

they ramp up according to voltage and a few other options (cant remember off hand)

no idea why its hanging on the repair screen

It found the above so it turned off, i then tryed to start normally a blue screen flashed up twice (to quick to read) then brought me back to the 3rd pic

Have you kept the same OS install and replaced the motherboard and CPU? Could be a driver conflict there.

Was your previous motherboard a different manufacturer?

Try setting SATA controller from AHCI to IDE?

But with such a big update of parts I personally would install from scratch.

what was your old motherboard??

z68/77/87 all default to ahci which = a bsod on startup

pop in the bios set the sata ports from ahci to ide then boot into windows, you can apply a simple reg tweak to use ahci without having to re install windows provided your using win 7

if your using xp which seems so by those screenshots then leave it on ide in the bios

EDIT: yes amd to intel I would do a clean install, backup all your data first though if you can,or install to a new hdd/ssd

Goto BIOS, press F2 for the simple version, scroll side ways to peripherals and find the SATA controller setting.

Edit, with your old board being totally different..do a fresh install.

Yea i'll get craking with that thanks guys, will report back :) Used up all my installs but a bit of sweet talking on the phone to them never fails lol
