I'm starting a new job there next month up in The Outer Hebrides that is, Isle of Lewis or Harris (can't remember which right now) and basically have never been that far north before, not really sure what it's like or what to expect!
I've spoken to my boss on the phone and he says beautiful/scenic/wonderful etc etc but balanced quite dramatically by the dig your own hole style toilets
I'll be up there for 6 weeks at a time doing building work, and taking my mtb for playing in the down time and the camera and the lappy with a truckload of DivX to plough through.
But what else to expect? It looks quiet!!!

/edit, it's also a 700mile drive to work!
