Anyone bought a console for one game?

Hiya,

Maybe a silly question but I'm just interested to hear if people have bought a console for one game, did you regret it or still playing it etc. I'm thinking of buying a Wii for one game, but seems silly spending £150 for one game when nothing else interests me (Apart from virtual console)

I recently bought the PS3 ready for when Final Fantasy 13, seems silly when compared to the fact it's coming on 360, but I love playing Hack/Slash, RPG's and Racing games on the PS3.

I bought the 360 solely for Devil May Cry 4, as I get really addicted to hack and slash, got my moneys worth out of it.

but now I've got many exclusives to look forward to.

Yes, PS3 for FFXIII.

Well mostly, I also wanted a BR player and there are still some stonking great games on the PS3.

Import PS2 just for GT3 i think. Maybe it was GT4. It cost £399 at the time.

Yup, bought a N64 for the WCW Nitro game or whatever it was called, don't regret it at all as I certainly got my money's worth out of the console in the end.

I bought a Nintendo N64 purely to play Goldeneye. Never regretted the investment for a second, and eventually sold it after a few months for a tenner more that I paid for it. Wish I'd kept it though, what an ACE game!

original game boy for tetris- didn't play any other game on it. Spent many an hour in the airfield caravan waiting for the rain to pass etc. Still the best version for me.

Same, there was a certain charm about that version... Still can't put my finger on it

yes xbox 360 for gta4, after 2 weeks got the red ring of death so i got it fixed and sold it

Yeah lots of times. I got a Saturn just because of Sega Rally, an N64 for Goldeneye, a PS2 for GTA3, my PS3 for GTA4 & GT5 which I am still waiting for & most recently a 360 for Forza 3 as I got bored of waiting for GT5.

Though with the PS3 & 360 I have bought a lot of other games, when I had the Saturn & N64 I bought about three other games for each machine which was probably a bit stupid!
