Anyone bought a G0 Q6600 from OcUK recently?

Good stuff, keep it coming guys.

Can people please quote their FPO#'s if available (it's on the side of the box).

I'll start the ball rolling - My kit just arrived and is sitting next to me on the desk at work:

FPO# **05A256 (Google finds no results for this FPO#!!!)

Ta,

Simon

Oh my god how boring. Straight around to 3.0GHz on stock volts (1.25v) and it's sitting there Prime95'ing away quite happily, without once chucking up an error. How dull. I'd have at least expected to need to raise the volts a bit or something. I haven't even needed to disable Speedstep. B-o-r-ing. :o

Only thing is the temps which are a bit high as I'm on the stock cooler at the mo as I haven't transplanted my Ninja over yet.

I often wonder what sorta temps people with these quads at 3ghz + are going to get in the summer when its hot??

ive got a 4400x2 with an arctic freezer64 and that gets plenty hot in the summer so that would bother me with a quad. watercooling is the only answer i guess.

Wow, that's a sweet sweet clock man. Is that under water?

Air only, tuniq tower in a Zalman GT1000 case, as you can see I've barely had to up the voltage and temps are nice and low.

As my wife is a nesh bugger our house is at a constant tropical temperature all year round thanks to the wonderfull invention they call central heating ;)

Jeez hard work learning all this overclocking stuff.. :(

Anyway I recently got a new system and took my Q6600 to 3ghz so far. Works frantic at the moment and stopping me having a read-up let alone a play! Nice new system and no time to fiddle...booo!

my VID is 1.1625 (Don't even know what the VID is *shame on me*)

Someone enlighten me?

Anyone fancies offering a newb some advice, im on MSN [email protected] :)

some particularly nice overclocks guys, im hoping mine is a low vid version, want to get 3.5-3.6ghz on air cooling with an acf7 pro with as little voltage as pssible should be a nice improvement from a dual core.

i've got my Q6600 G0 at 3GHz undervolted to 1.1v stable.
it has a Vid of 1.3v, so i wouldn't worry about the Vid at all.

Bought one a few weeks ago and it has a VID of 1.3125V

Still got it at 3551MHz but requires 1.48V under load which results in 62,62,62,61 temps with an ambient of 24.5C...

I love these chips :D

EDIT: Cooler is Thermalight 120A thingy
