Anyone buy Xbox One, but wish they bought PS4?

I have actually bought a PS4 but fancying a Xbox One instead. Admittedly it's because even though the DS4 is way better than the DS3, I'm still getting joint pain from the stick layout. Every time I play I wish it was a Xbox controller and curse Sony for the layout. I also, which is a bit lame perhaps, miss my achievements. The trophies never did anything for me in quite the same way.

I had a One but really did not get on with it. Forza annoyed me that it was half the game. I play BF quite a bit and it works better on PS4 so sold the one and stuck with the PS4.

Once a new Halo comes along or if a miracle happens and they announce PGR5 I will buy another Xbox one.

I have only one game BF4 on PS4, that alone will keep me busy until next year at least. Just because it doesn't have killer exclusives yet, neither does XB1 for that matter, doesn't mean the multi plats are not as good.

No chance, the PS4 has nothing over the xbox one at the moment in terms of games, sure slightly better resolution on a couple of multi platforms but the exclusives far outweigh that right now, Sony dropped the ball with the launch lineup, there are no killer apps for it yet to make me want it over the xbox, the opposite of what I expected.

Looking forward to next year though when it have some games worth buying the system for other than multi platform titles.

Same for me really, I'll be getting a PS4 next year without a doubt, right now it has no exclusives I want to play.

this thread reminds me of an episode

I don't know why anyone would have buyers remorse for either console, their gonna last ya about 5-6 years if they don't RROD.

For the cost, both consoles offer value for money considering how long they stay relevant. In terms of console VS consoles, I much prefer the PS4, The Xbone just seems to current gen for me to consider buying one myself. Whereas the PS4 has that next gen feel with the stunning Killzone and superior versions of some multiplats and Black Flag in particular, which is gorgeous on PS4.

I do think the games will improve on Xbone with time, and there is always the power of the cloud which Microsoft keep touting about. So yeah all in all either console will serve you well for the next 5-6+ years. Nothng to have buyers remorse over imho, graphics cards are things to have buyers remorse over, outdated every year :p

Simply because the lack of games currently, as opposed to the games that will be available in one year (at a console that will you'll pick up for a £100.00 less). I did point out that it was me who had buyers remorse, and I wasn't suggesting everyone else should feel the same, as clearly they do not.

Having said that, I've bolded the relevant part of your post which gives rise to potential buyers remorse.

I just wouldn't worry about it mate I mean unless you didn't have the money, than there is no reason to have buyers remorse on either console, I mean isn't their about 20+ games already for both consoles? I mean how many games do you actually need right now :p.

I haven't even got enough time to play the current games let alone when new ones launch. Some of you must literally play games 24/7 to be able to get through them all.

Just enjoy it, finish the games you have, new ones will come thick and fast. PS4 and Xbone will both have great titles, keep people entertained for years.. I'm loving the PS4, playing Killzone, Black Flag, and COD Ghosts..

Don't regret it at all. Better launch exclusives. Will pick up a PS4 next year once these some exclusive I want for it that are out.

I got an XBox one at launch - mainly because of the launch titles (Forza, Dead Rising) and soon to be exclusives (Titanfall). When they were both announced I was probably 70/30 in favour of the PS4. Also the price difference over here in Oz is about 30 quid.

Currently happy with my purchase - although I hate the new Xbox UI, I hate the constant crashes on BF4 (not platform problem though) and I hate the massive backsteps MS has taken with the One over the 360, these don't really affect me playing the games I want (especially as my Live friends are now on the other side of the world, I rarely need the party/notification features :().

I keep thinking about getting a PS4 too (because I'm a new tech junkie) but I keep realising there just aren't any games on it I want right now. I never liked the Killzone series (and I've heard this one isn't even particularly good one). So I'll get one another time when there is something I can't get on the XBone. Also now you have to pay for MP on the Playstation too... I just can't justify TWO subscriptions a year (especially when my gaming time has decreased so much in general).

I never liked the PS3 UI and since the PS4 hasn't changed much, I'm not likely to suddenly find I love that. Also since the PS4 hasn't ****** the UI up from the PS3 (unlike 360 to Xbone) I doubt it's going to evolve much - whereas I know the Xbone will evolve.

So yeah, happy with my choice overall - but could be happier.

To be fair the PS4 UI has vastly improved and I actually think they nailed it. Friends/notifications/trophies/settings/party/messages/etc lives up top which is instantly accessible, the main UI shows off latest activity and recent games played and shows detailed content when pressing down.

The major part is they have it all on one screen, easy to understand/access. This is kinda where the XBone went backwards in my opinion as everything feels compartmentalised. Trying to view your friends, activity feed, achievements or anything will completely launch you into a different app and it doesn't feel seamless at all.

Granted the Xbox UI will change, same with the PS4. But to say it hasn't changed from the PS3 is just outright wrong.

The PS4 dash is completely different to the PS3. It needs work but is easy and simple to use unlike the mess of the Xbox one dash. I only play games on my consoles so having the info all in one place is nice.

Fair enough - I've haven't used one, but I thought I had seen/read that it was largely unchanged - at least on the surface. I just hated the fact there were a million menus and sub menus on the PS3 - they layout just didn't make much sense. The PStore I always found particularly useless - difficult to use, browse and find new things.

But I totally agree about the One, the fact it is so much harder (and slower) to view what you want from achievements to friends etc. The one thing I really expected the next Xbox to have was vastly improved dash browsing speed -the eradication of that loading circle thing... but it's actually got worse. Incredible botch job by MS. But that is what MS as a whole seem to do well - take an excellent bit of software/hardware then Corporate the hell out of it so it's no longer useful or quick but fits the Corporation Master Plan.

Same for me, only minor downer for me is the XB1 controller is less comfortable than the 360 one. Rumble triggers are cool but the bumper buttons are a step backwards and the triggers don't fit my fingers as nicely.

I get the impression they rushed the Xbox UI like mad for the launch date so I'm fully expecting it to be better in the future. Fingers crossed :)

Oh and as a side note, the PS Store is much improved and no longer laggy. My god what a pain that was to use on a PS3...

I am going to sit on the fence to see what happens in terms of what games come out first.

Although slightly annoyed the X1 Kinect sensor isnt using a USB connection, means I will have to take the TV off the wall and drill another hole just to run the cable for it.

Does the cable come out the back or the base of the kinect sensor?

Out of the back of the sensor itself with a very stiff connector (non removable). The Kinect cable is also quite thick - comparable to a normal ATX 'Kettle' lead.

Neither console has mind blowing exclusives at the moment.

Agreed. Both aren't strong when it comes to exclusives at the moment. I would never look just at release when purchasing a console though, best to look ahead and decide which exclusive games you prefer and buy that console.
