Anyone else almost wish it would rain?

I'd like a truly apocalyptic thunderstorm that lasted for hours with massive, repeated, thunder and lightning :D

Had one of those in the Pyrenees a couple of summers ago. We spent the evening with our raincoats, shorts and flipflops dancing in the rain and running around in the road/river!:p

Never get anything like that in the UK though. :(

I want a good shock of rain. The rivers are so low at the minute that it makes for poor fishing.

not had rainfall for couple of weeks here, & would really like a good storm, clear the air, make it less muggy & more importantly so I can really try out new camera with some lightning shots

I'm assuming you're not in London at the moment! It's been around 22-24 here.

I'm in Hertfordshire, just north of London. We've had a couple of cloudy days (including some of today) but no rain to speak of for about the last month.

Sucks to be you lot where it's been raining!:p

No we're not and 22-24 will feel rather cold. :p:D

I'd like a thunderstorm. I like the sunny days but it's been weeks since it last rained. Typical of us though. Complain when it's sunny and then complain when it rains.

:p

Actually we had an absolute cracker all along the Fylde coast from Southport up to Preston and beyond last year. Best for me though would have been 2007 in South Africa. Some awesome ones there although sitting in shorts and a t-shirt in the middle of a whopping great storm was a miserable affair. Was watching the Cheetahs play the Bulls in the semi-final of the Currie Cup at the Vodacom Stadium where England got their asses kicked last week.

No.

Have had rain once or twice in last week and the one time I don't want it is this weekend.

And of course, this weekend gives rain and thunderstorms.

Yup I'd like a tropical storm for 1 hour, and then freshen up the air and get back to how it is - just like it does in Orlando :D

Rained this morning a little in Kent & Essex.

Need a Thunderstorm though, surprised we have not had one.

I don't particularly wish it to rain but if it were to drop say 10C then I'd be a whole lot happier, I wasn't built for this sort of heat and by that I mean anything above 20C.

Agree totally.

In fact I'd be happy if there was no rain, so at least the lawn wouldn't grow to much ... I hate cutting it, but I'd really love it if the temperature dropped a bit (especially at night) ... I can't remember the last decent nights sleep I had.
