Anyone else almost wish it would rain?

we had an AMAZING thunderstorm here a few weeks ago but apart from 20mins of light drizzle today it was the only rain weve had in a month maybe

was seriously impressive storm though. the lightning was lighting up my whole house x ray brightness style and the thunder sounded like the end of the world. probably the best ive ever seen in this country

theres actually a hose pipe ban in cumbria started today. a woman on the news was stood in the bottom of a reservoir there !

There goes my hope of the northerners supplying us with water when we run out... :(

Bring on the rain !!

BRING ON THE TRUMPETS!!;)

Mine are dry as a bone, the pond water is evapourating fast as well.

Ours isn't evaporating any faster than usual because, although it is dry, we've only had a few days of above average temperatures.

Looks like it's going to rise on friday before it finally rains on monday. Hope we get a nice storm but I bet it's just boring drizzle... :(

Speak for yourself, it rained all day here and will do again tommorrow.

Yeah but that's Plymouth, it always rains... Even when it snows feet elsewhere... :(:p

Yea, that's the one i missed because i was in Cumbria :(

I just wish the humidity would drop at least for one night so I can get a decent nights kip, I'm so exhausted :(

i remember getting Southernly plumes which brought up thunderstorms from the channel which used to last for hours, however any storms in the channel either die or move NE and clip the south east coast. I do love this weather but also having thundery days where it's humid during the day then by the evening a cracking storm which clears the air, and you can actually smell the rain.

It rained here a couple of nights ago, which is just what the garden needed. It rained so hard I had to shut the windows as it woke me up at 3am. It's been unusally dry up this neck of the woods. In fact, in the four years I have lived here I have never known such a dry spell. Quite nice in many ways, but the grass is a very green-yellow instead of the normal rich green it normally is. I always remember how dry it gets down south.
