Anyone else bored of current FPS games?

One of the most enjoyable games i've played in quite a while is Avatar, even tho revues didn't do it justice I find it most enjoyable.
You get to play the game twice, either as an alien Na'vi & again as a human & you don't have to complete one before you can play the other as you can select either at start of play after a short while.
Graphically amazing & strangely not a system hog with all the lush foliage that tries to kill you & creatures such as packs of rabid Viperwolves.

No game beats CS:S. Find a good server, and join the banter & teamwork. Different experience to just your everyday pub server.
Though I'm loving BC2 atm, but doubt I'll still be playing that in years to come like I do with CS:S.

Been getting quite bored of fps games for a while now, then a few weeks back i remembered that i had bought Deus Ex on some Eidos pack on Steam (although i already have it someone on cd).
I just needed to play something i knew was really good again
Really hope they don't bugger up the 3rd one!
I still play TF2 and Borderlands from time to time.
If you want to try something different, give TF2 Dodgeball a go, once you get the hang of the timing its really entertaining, especially on the multi-'ball' arenas

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 where great but got bored quite quickly with them, Call of Duty are fun in small doses although have got into the Sabotage games recently.
Flashpoint just left me cold, played Battlefield 2 since it was released and still enjoy it apart from the maps with planes on. Give me Carl Gustav/40mm over plane jockeys that kill you without any comeback or countermeasures. BF 2142 was O.K I thought bringing in the friends list and unlocks but prefered BF2 overall.
BF:BC2 is the first game I really love since BF2, just need to use all the positives from BF2 and BF:BC2 into BF3 for FPS heaven.

Thanks god for TF2 and L4D2. All these fps set in modern warfare settings bore me to tears. BC2 isn't so bad, but it's still a who sees who first wins lottery.
Where has the pace in fps gone? The need to actually be able to aim? (iron sights are the devil!). Who really thought being able to go prone would be a good thing? We need is a decent RTCW remake - it'll suddenly become obvious how mediocre, random, and low skilled most of the fps we put up with these days are!

Yep ARMA2 with ACE2
cant get any better than sitting on a hill in good grass near a bush getting ready to kill an enemy player in a building.Check possible escape routes
Check area
Check distance to target with range finder,markers on map or scope
check height diff between you and target
check wind speed and direction
Watch target pattern if any
Hold breath
Take shot

Especially Stalker and Metro 2033 and all those annoying games with silly Rusian accents,mutants and shops where you have to buy ammo and weapons!

If you bored of fps play differant games, there are plenty of good games on pc that arent fps.
The most fun fps are misisng from your list imo, quake3 or quake live, tf2 and left 4 dead, the rest of your games are pretty simliar, no wonder you bored of them.
The game i am playing most atm is boarderlands.
I play bfbc on ps3 i find the team work generally to be very good and people use voice comms a lot as well.

I did used to play at a very high level in clanbase and had an opportunity at a national level. But i dont want that now i have a misses and 2 kids that demand more time than i have currently. I do agree though it give another element to the game and also the gameplay due to working as a team.
I think this is what im missing the teamplay side of things.
I still cant find an FPS that had the gameplay of SOF2, SOF2 i could go on alone and you could own a full server with skill, then in competition it was all about strategy and teamwork.
Maybe i should look for a BF2 clan or see if SOF2 is still going but i always find older games loose the support of PB and then its just full of cheaters.
Do you guys think console has seriously affected PC gaming?
CS and CS:S are just filled with pre-pubecent teens though. Thats the main reason, coupled with the none existant hit registration, why I own both yet play neither lol.
BFBC2 is a good game though, although when youve unlocked everything theres not much else to do really unless you like grinding pins/badges etc as the unlock system is pretty flawed at the moment
