Hello All,

Recently checked my outgoings and incomings and I have found that I have managed to spend £3000-£4000 this year on my TV, Blu Ray Player, Blu-Ray DVDs, replacement Car, Car Parts, Holidays, Concert Tickets, Christmas Presents, New PC Parts and settling a Debt (long story short, former 'Friend' screwed me over, not my fault) and I have not put any of that in Savings..

Feel a little gutted about it really and 2010 started so well!

Guess my New Years Resolution is going to be to save much more money, starting with my December Pay Cheque.

Anyone else feel like they have spent a bit much this year?

£500 Holiday
£155 jacket
£130 trousers (snowboarding)
£240 Camera
£150 Solid Oak worktop for a desk
£100 bits for the desk
£120 Wheel and GT5
£100 Clothes form Asos

£1495 in the last month just on random bits

That's not counting presents and going out, travel etc.

?????????

Its called living, you cant watch a DVD on a bank statement.

£3-4k over an entire year on car repairs, holidays, concert tickets, gadgets, presents and PC parts is hardly bad is it?! I've spent that on just holidays and car repairs

Seems like you've done pretty well to me?

Infact hang on that £3-4k seems to include an entire CAR as well!?

And you are complaining?

I spent roughly what you spent in the whole of 2010 in September alone.

Chill out!

Just came as a shock to me after a totted it up. I should probably clarify that I don't have any Money problems (I can be thankful for my Job) but it just means I have £4,000 less in savings, so it puts my first House on hold longer. :(

Hehe, makes me seem like a cheap-skate in that light! Just seems a lot of money for what I earn, but I suppose I need to enjoy life.

I dread to think but its well into 5 figures, and i don't have a car, not even including food and rent and bank loans.

It's scarier than yours!

I spent that on one holiday. £4,000 in a year is nothing. You have to live at the end of the day.

You have to enjoy life or whats the point? You've not been extravagant at all from what I can see. Chill out and enjoy yourself.

You're grand, that's nothing! I've spent 11 grand this year on plane tickets, airport parking and other associated travel expenses. Bye bye savings :(
