Anyone else find there just isn't enough time for games?

There's all these games out or coming out that I'd like to play, and many of them that I'd like to play both the SP and MP on, but there just doesn't seem to be enough time...

Which is odd, cause I live close to work so should have plenty of hours in the day, and I do try to get a little gaming in every day, but it just never seems like theres enough time.

Was recently playing infamous, but had to give it a rest because it was just taking so damn long and I just felt like I was falling behind on other games I want to play.

And I have this growing list of single player games sitting on my shelf, which I just don't think I'll ever get round to touching... including Fable 2, Too Human, LBP, Resistance.

Then there is still MP on games like KZ2 or Gears 2.... would love to spend time on those...

It's not even like I want to play every game out there.

Sigh. Need a 6 hour working day :(

PS - not sure why I am even posting this.... guess just not in right mood for work :)

Yep - totally agree - I made a thread here when I got my PS3 with all the games I had bought and which ones to tackle - still havent touch that list and still not completed a single PS3 game even though I own about 20 and got 5 on pre-order...

In all honesty I blame work and FIFA...

Got to dig that thread up and see how truly awful my progression has been - here it is :(

ps3ud0

I got plenty of time, even though life's very hectic at the moment. I do only play the very best games though so don't have a long list of games to play.

Thats life chaps. Found this myself since starting work, you dont have much time for games and you end up just playing with mates so the multiplayer games get the most action. FIFA and COD4 take up all my gaming time.

online gaming is pretty much impossible when you have a full time job, I just don't get the practice in to compete with most people online.

At one time I could hold my own in most games but now I get my ass handed to me quite a lot of the time

Wait until you get a wife, that's all I can say.

Between work and her I usually "get" 5hrs a week on the PS3 and that's only if the TV is free of soaps :(

The following games need to be played / completed.

GTA4 (mainly just trophys to re do)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (mainly just trophys to re do)
Wipeout HD (a few tracks to complete on Gold)
Call of Duty: World at War (need to complete)
Dead Space (not even opened since I bought it in Dec 08!)

I've decided I'm not buying any more games until I complete the one's I've got which probably means I'll be waiting for the PS4 or Xbox1080.

Ones I own but have still to start playing include:
Eternal Sonata - PS3
Dead Space - PS3
Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction - PS3
Endwar - PS3
Varkyria Chronicales downloadable content - PS3

Bioshock - PC
Empire Total War - PC
Half Life Episode 2 - PC
Supreme Commander - PC

Damn online poker and Final Fantasy VII are taking up all my spare time.

I dont get much time but the time I do get is golden...and after gaming for 25 years i'm enjoying myself more then ever. I get around 2 hours a night, but I have a dedicated gaming corner and our bedroom...away from child and wifey.

Still get the occasional 6+ hour plus session from time to time as well.

With the introduction of 2 children and a possesive girlfriend who will only relinquish the TV after stupid amounts of soaps, my gaming time has been dramatically cut.

I only get time for a few games of Fifa every now and then unless I want to stay up until 11 then hammer the games.

I still have the below list to complete:

GTA4 + TLAD
Fallout 3
MGS4
Killzone 2
LBP
Lego Indy
WAW
GH 3 + WT

And with games like MW2/Fifa 10 & Forza 3 coming I just see no time for games, at least I get value for money though, as time I do play really is golden, and I had 2 hours on GTA4 over the weekend, and loved every second of it. :(

When I was at uni I had loads of time to game.

I've since changed jobs, purchased a house and got married. I just don't have the time anymore!

I might get a couple of hours at the weekend if I'm lucky andd thats about it.

I can kiss goodbye to weekday evening gaming.

By the time I get home from work, do some chores, help/do the cooking, clean up after its time for bed.

Weekends are spent DIY around the house. When the house is finished I'll hopefully get more weekend time.

At uni I was playing games with mates on a daily basis long into the night a lot of the time but now since finishing and everyone going their separate ways the gaming front has just about dried up :(

I do still grab a game of this or that occasionally but my current job means I get home very late one week and then am up really early the next so plays havok with the normal evening games time ...

Once I get my own place and a more normal 9-5 style job then things *might* change but that's unlikely.

I sometimes can't be bothered to play games but with the new lineup coming out before Christmas TV and the girlfriend get put on the back burner.

Luckily she has an Xbox too so we can just play L4D2 together when it comes out...

Not remotely enough time. :(

As an example... I've still got Resistance 2 in it's plastic wrapper. :( So much other stuff barely started.

I might just save it all up for when I retire in 50 years.... :p

Gamer girlfriends help a lot, and although mine only plays CoD4 with me (it's the only game we both play, she's a sims and wow person while I'm a starcraft and SFIV person) that understanding helps a lot.

I have enough time at the moment (yay for no school/job :p) but there isn't really anything I want to play at the moment. Halo ODST comes out in the 2nd week of the start of uni :(.

She isn't a massive gamer, except for her DS she will only really play when I am with her (or online).

But the fact that she loves GTA and L4D (even wanting to play it more than me) is good!

Although I start to worry when the first thing she does on GTA is run over a load of pedestrians and start giggling...

Since moving in with my girlfriend I have a lot less time sadly. I was getting in about 2 hours a night plus maybe 4 or 5 over a weekend. Now I rarely touch the 360 at all. She does work away at least one day a week usually so I manage to cram about 3 hours in then so I do get a little gaming time.

I also have a few older titles which I haven't touched or finished yet. In fact I've stopped buying games now as I should make do with the ones I already have.

The other issue is that there really are a lot of games released now days, much too many to play them all unfortunately.

Aye I know how you feel.

Work full time, gym 3 days a week. Usually see the girlfriend 4 nights a week.

So after coming home from work or the gym and sorting stuff for the next day etc i'll maybe get like 3 hours to relax if i'm not with the girlfriend, and then half the time i'm knackered or spend a bit of time browsing the web first.

Usually go out one of the nights at the weekend so the next day is typically spent feeling pretty rough, and the other night with the women.

There's just a load of things I need and want to do, and gaming takes least priority.

Try having a full time job and preparing to launch your own business. Kind of takes up most of your day. :)

It is possible to balance time with Her Indoor and still game. As for your problem (in bold) I would suggest getting a second TV. HD tv's can be had for peanuts now.
