Anyone else get this?

If you sleep withthe window open then it may just be the cooler air drying your mouth out and causing the flesh to stiffen and feel sore.

This isn't a medical thread and it's certainly not something worth bothering a GP over. I'm just more curious than alarmed hence why I'm asking.

Does anyone else here wake up with sore throats? It always seems to happen when I brush my teeth before bed, so I'm assuming it's the toothpaste doing it as when I 'forget' I don't usually wake up with a sore throat.

Yep. Very very reguarly.

I always assumed it was sleeping with mouth open. Or maybe central heating.

If I go to sleep with the fan on or the window wide open, I usually wake up with cold-like symptoms. Sore throat, stiff neck, headache and sneezing.

It's very strange.

I get this when I've been to the gym in the evening, i assume it's due to

exercise
sweating
warm muscles
dehydration
????
profit

Try this , before bed get a small towel , hold it under the tap and get it really wet
Wring it out a little so it aint dripping no more , hang it on the radiator in the bed room.

See how you feel the next day

Yeah my nose has been broke twice so I always use my mouth to breathe when i'm sleeping, which means I wake up very dry. Means I seem to get more problems with sore throats more than most people.
